It has a double zipper on three sides that unzips.
No, if you don't want them to get wet. I left it out in the rain for a day after vacation and it got quite wet. It works well in the rain while driving down the highway, but not so much when you're sitting. I hope this information is useful.
The hitch carrier bag's overall dimensions of 60"x24"x24" allow it to fit on most cars, SUVs, and vans with hitch trays and hitch baskets. Please ensure that the bag is not too close to the exhaust pipe.
Hello, just remember not to touch the exhaust with the bag.

Update: After reading my review, the customer service team promptly contacted me. They believe I was given a defective bag. To make things right, they've sent a new bag. Customer service is 5 stars, and the company stands behind its product guarantee. br>br>Bag is an excellent choice. My cross-country move was hampered by the fact that it rained for three days. Waterproofing is not 100%. My belongings were soaked through and through. br>br>This bag has a lot of cargo space, which is a big plus. It's well-made, as evidenced by the fact that the bag lasted for 1811 miles without sustaining any damage. If it had been completely waterproof, I would have given it five stars. Because I had stacked boxes, the straps were awkward and didn't feel sturdy enough. Just in case, I attached two ratchet straps.
For the past few vacations, my family and I have used a hitch rack. We used to wrap a twin mattress in plastic and then use straps to keep it in place. We've never had to deal with heavy rain on our travels, which is fortunate for us. My rack is 60x24, so when I was looking for a new travel bag, I wanted something that would fit in the whole thing. 20cu. ft. For our family of six plus one, it was more than sufficient. This is a massive machine. It was large enough to accommodate my golf clubs and shoe bag. Five carry-on suitcases, two duffle bags, a case of water, a tote, and four life jackets are included in the luggage. I had 25% room left as well as well as well as well The straps were extremely comfortable and held up well. These are preferable to the clips provided by some of the other bags. Overall, the quality of the construction is excellent. The entire day of travel was spent in torrential rain. The water simply gathered and flowed away.
UPDATE: I've had this bag for over two years now, and it's still going strong. I've yet to have the flap pushed up by the wind, as some users have (exposing the zipper and allowing water to enter). I believe that by stuffing the bag as full as possible, this can almost always be avoided. When packing for a trip, I start with the bag and then throw the rest in the car. We took the bag with us on our annual trip to Island Park, Idaho (just outside of Yellowstone National Park). In the winter, a 250-mile journey through wet roads, snow, and ice - We drove through snowstorms as they came and went. This was our third trip with this bag, and it has kept everything dry each time! Because of how well it has performed and held up, I am raising my rating from four to five stars. Original review: br>br> The bag's material is, without a doubt, waterproof. The seams are well-knit and water-resistant. The only flaw is the zipper, which is made of what appears to be a cotton nylon blend and allows water to pass through like a strain. It works fine for me because it is attached to the back of my Nissan Armada (large SUV), so the wind does not push the flap up and expose the zipper - even after hours of driving at 80 mph Only a few drops of water have ever found their way inside, which is acceptable for the price. I would give it five stars if the zipper was better. If you absolutely need a 100% waterproof bag look elsewhere (and at quadruple the price) else if you are placing it behind a large-screen TV then look elsewhere (and at qua ish SUV, this should suffice in keeping the rain out.
We used it in the back of a pickup truck and it was the perfect width. It didn't budge when I used a small tie down strap over the top of it - We didn't think we needed it because it was right behind the cab in the truck's bed. Everything inside remained dry despite being rained on and snowed on. Even in the cold, the material was manageable, though it was noticeably stiffer than in the warm. We had three medium-sized suitcases on their sides, with room for a fourth if we had one - had a small cooler and miscellaneous items that helped keep the clutter in the cab to a minimum for the back passengers (large dog and her owner - By the end of the trip, my wife and I were thrilled we had made this purchase.
It was slightly larger than our Cargo Hauler, but not significantly so. We put crab pots inside, which were a tad wider than the hauler, and it worked out well. We packed everything we needed and then some on the way home; the space was fantastic. (You know how you always end up with more stuff on the way back? This was a great way to cram it all in!) ) The zippers are sturdy, and the fabric is thick and durable. I didn't have to worry about the cage wire ripping the fabric. Five stars for quality, size, zippers, and material, among other things. It made it 1,000 miles without any issues. br>br> I got home and tossed it off the hauler, where it sat for a day. The following day, it rained nonstop. I wasn't concerned because it claimed to be waterproof, and even if it wasn't, everything inside could get wet. I took it out the next day and looked through it - I was curious to see what had happened, and there was a significant amount of water in the bottom. What a letdown! I was certain it wouldn't get any water in it. Now, I'm not sure if it got wet from simply sitting in the rain, or because it rained for hours, or what. However, I believe that if I were traveling and it rained, no water would have entered the vehicle. But I have no idea about that. So there you have it, my personal experience. As a result, I had no choice but to give it four stars. With an asterisk, I would suggest this product!.
In the back of my truck, I am completely confident that the contents will never be wet. My only wish is that they put it in a frame so it keeps its shape. I'd even pay an extra $15-$20 if it were possible. It'll set you back $20 as an added bonus! You don't have to be concerned about the quality of this product because it is solid and strong. Overall, excellent material and an excellent item for keeping your belongings dry.
