The cargo box is of good quality and a good price. Due to the fact that the same vehicle is displayed in the product pictures, it appeared to be a safe bet. Not only that, but it exceeded expectations. A comparable Thune cargo box cost about $200 more than the cargo box in the photo. I can just imagine how much lighter the cargo box would be for a 65+ I love the light weight of this awning. In spite of the "knob" style mounting/clamping being easy to install, it also offers a downfall because the extra space it takes up inside the carrier is also its downside. The result is that this costs precious space inside the carrier and can be a hindrance. There's no way around those four knobs if you don't pack your things around them! As part of my plan to mount the carrier, I am going to Home Depot to get some steel flat bars, U bolts, nuts, and washers. By doing so, the cargo's hold capacity should be maximized.

When I first saw it, I was concerned about its lightness. I was concerned it would not be able to withstand the test of time, I really like the way it works. During our trip down the interstate, we didn't hear any road noise. I believe it could've taken 10 days for the clamps to loosen, but they did. The extra bonus was to make it easy to find a car in a large parking lot. We were not able to figure out what effect it had on our gas mileage. A 2016 Nissan Rogue is in our possession.
