For the first time we put the bag on, it took us about three hours to figure out how to set it up. The instructions say to fill it up, then put it on the car, but I read reviews before hand and learned that 1- use a pump instead of a pump motor. Set it up when it's convenient as it takes a few hours to get it right the first time and 2- you may need to re-do it if you make a mistake To give it a bottom and a shape, you can place any 50 gallon tote you like. I just put random things into it to get an idea of how it would work because I was setting it up a few days before we left for our trip. Even if you have an extra pair of hands, having an extra pair of hands around is helpful and advisable when you are getting the license plate on the car.
