Questions & Answers

Can this be used with a yamaha tw200 and a camry?

Your tow hitch may be affected by this issue. My guess is that the hitch should be a class 2. We do not know how much the bike weighs, or if you have enough clearance on the Camry so it does not scrape or bottom out. Wishing you good luck and knowing that it would work if it did. I wish you all peace

Does this trailer handle bikes this size? My bike is Yamaha Striker 650 pounds, will it be able to fit on this trailer?

That's not the case, according to me. There is a weight rating of 600 pounds, and I have a Suzuki GSXR 750 which is fine with it.

Does the product description say that the wheel base is 13 inches when it says 79 x 31 x 13?

I believe the rail is 79" long, though my machine is in storage for the winter. Almost any motorcycle can be fitted in this rack if you have the strength to roll it up. A trailer hitch should be 31 inches wide and the rails should be 31 inches wide. I believe there is a 13" gap between the two rails when they are bolted together in the traveling position.

Is it possible for you to tell me the size Do I have to take it with me on a flight?

I am unable to lift this thing by myself due to its sheer weight, while it is doable I cannot move it easily. As for the dimensions, I would say it is about 5 feet long, 1 foot wide, and about 6 inches thick, but I haven't touched it in a long time so I can't recall its precise size

Very solid find
5/5

The ones that cost $300 are exactly the same! A new update has been posted. I would like to tell you again that this is a very solid product. This item arrived in 3 days after it was sent. The carrier took me about 30 minutes to assemble, the instructions were a bit ambiguous, however the fact that all of the bolts are the same size, made things a bit With the long ramp, loading the Bik is no problem at all. The operation can be carried out by one person without any problems. We included the hitch stabilizer because it was a good idea. The intended outcome was achieved. It was over 800 miles that I traveled with this carrier for my first adventure. There was no doubt in my mind that Despite my bike being on the ground, it did not wobble at all. In an update, I have since crossed the border to the U. S. It has taken me across the country on this carrier on the back of my Jeep more than once. I have left the bike on it for several nights at a time. This thing is solid, as stated in the title. It doesn't wobble or wiggle at all. It is easy to load. It's not necessary for me to ask for help loading and unloading the bike. There are no words to describe how awesome the long ramp is. Although the price has gone up $50 since last year, I did notice it has gone up 50 cents since I bought it. Go away, it's not cool Furthermore, we don't like it. As a result, I mounted the ramp on the tail end of the carrier so that I could connect my magnetic trailer lights to it. To make the ramp more visible, I added some reflectors. It is a great product overall.

Installing and lifting it can be very hard, but it is a very heavy duty product
4/5

Having been a structural engineer and fabricator for over 20 years, I have to say, that Underneath the ramp are tie down bars and angle iron bracing welded to 1/8" thick steel strips. In addition to the receiver tube having a thickness of 3/16" and the wheel chock and gusset plate having a thickness of 1/4". To improve traction on the ramp, skate board grip tape should be attached to it.

I am giving my honest opinion
5/5

As it turns out, I bought the bike knowing the 600lb rating was overrated, but I've seen far too many 'slumping' bikes on the I70 down in Colorado because of thin gauge steel or bent receiver hitches. There are many reviews that mention how heavy this game is. It is, of course. This product has a weight rating of 600 pounds. If placed under a great deal of pressure (I used turn buckles on the back wheel), the tie down bars don't warp. It's also a nice feature to consider that there is a wheel chock that is well constructed and reinforced. The ramp is long so a hernia won't be a problem while loading the vehicle. My KTM isn't going to budge when I load it because the ramp is made of heavy steel. There are several cons as well I'm not sure how to describe the stabilizer. In my opinion, it's doing a good job. I have, however, tried a number of these devices and there is still teeter totter play and left to right movement. My fear of this could just be the way I'm accustomed to riding -- I cannot handle feeling the load shift when turning a sharp corner or seeing the bike sway. But hey, this may just be my anxiety projecting onto me. As a safety precaution, I found that turn buckles worked well to hold down the rear tire (way too many tie down straps have come loose on back roads) and also the left to right shifting. With an extra pair of straps attached to the bike and bumper, I keep the teeter totter to a minimum. To test, I took the unit out a couple of times since purchasing it. I also took it on a freeway. Everything went off without a hitch (ed. note pun intended).

This worked really well
5/5

The bike was able to travel 3000 miles at 80 mph with the KLR weighing 600 pounds on it and the KLR was fine. To provide traction when loading and unloading, stick on sand paper was applied to the ramp. One must get used to the bike moving around in the rear view mirror once they've gotten used to it.

There was a lot of uncertainty in that
4/5

The construction is pretty solid. To be honest, the exercise of getting the bike up on this thing was quite intense. A slope can be used to your advantage if you know how to use As you can see, I couldn't push my bike up the ramp by myself the first time. I tried several times but could not do it. I am about 1/2" away from hitting the top of the ramp with my bike's bottom. In order to get the bike up the ramp, I had to start the engine. I was extremely nervous as once your arms are above your shoulders it becomes very challenging to control the clutch, throttle, and front brake simultaneously while preventing the bike from tipping. Even though I was in the hot sun, my rear tire never gained traction on the ramp. The ramp is so slippery that my tires were even warm. I used the front brake and now the front tire is sliding down the ramp as the bike began coming back down. My bike rolled back down, and I had no way of controlling it other than to steer and let it roll It took another battle to get the trailer over the wheel chock once I got it up. Because the rear tire is on the edge of the ramp, it is extremely difficult to push over the wheel once it is in that position. As I mentioned, I had to fiddle with the throttle to make this work, and I was worried that the bike might be throttled or the clutch might be popped by you because you are seated in an awkward position. In any case, I really like this ramp, and I think all the videos showing people loading it along gave the impression it was relatively easy to do. Granted, it might be if it is feasible to park your vehicle along a slope to reduce the ramp's incline. two pieces of advice I can offer, it's that you should GET HELP if you can, and that you should GRIP TAP.

Despite my aversion to giving 5 stars, I rarely provide them
5/5

Here is my name. Despite my aversion to giving 5 stars, I rarely provide them. You should not worry, I was concerned about the carrier not being welded. A solid build I haven't seen before. It is very heavy and difficult to carry, but I probably wouldn't complain if it were lighter in weight. One of the best parts of this is the front wheel holder assembly. It is a good product, although there are two very minor issues. The following are the main points of the report. There was a small area where ramp attaches that had to be reemed out a little bit. THROW IT AWAY! THERE WAS A CHANCE I could lose my bicycle! As a result, my beautiful bike almost hit the pavement after snapping and bending
3/5

The total opposite of useful! My bike weighs 564 pounds with gas and oil when it claims to be up to 600 lbs. While taking off from a stop sign, I was hit by the vehicle. I would advise you NOT to buy this crappy thing if you value your bike.
