It is hard to install, but it is the correct piece when used with a newer JK. Exactly what I needed. There is a specific version for JK Wranglers 2011 and after, and for soft tops made since 2011. It looks like I had an older top (I think it was from a 2010) on my 2014 JKU that had The brackets from my old top didn't work with the soft top. I replaced the old top with a newer OEM premium top (from a 2014), but the brackets didn't work. They fit perfectly, so these brackets are perfect. You will need screws that measure 6 x 25mm x M6 (6mm). Stock ones are available online, but anyone with a hardware store will have them. Mine cost me less than $2 a pair at Lowe's. In case you are installing a soft top, I would recommend that you put it on completely (latch the front part on) and slide the bracket onto the soft top frame and screw in the top hole of the bracket to the frame of the car (then screw in the remaining screws from there). Having been screwed all the way into the soft top, it was difficult to push the bracket to the frame of the car. If you want both sides, you need to order the other side. *This is just one side, you'll need to order the other side.
I am happy with the fit on my 14 JKUR. Those brackets will work on the factory Bestop premium twill soft top with spring assist. They can only be found on Jeeps equipped with a soft top or dual top. I had the hard top only option on my JK, so it did not have The brackets for the soft top were missing when I bought the used model. They had a similar price but they didn't have them in stock. I inquired with the dealership, but they didn't have them in stock. Because I liked the convenience of ordering on Amazon, I ended up buying them there. I have no trouble getting my top on as they feel sturdy. You will not find bolts to attach these to a roll bar in these. also purchased those on Amazon, but I found a hardware store to be a much more cost-efficient The left side listed here is only part of the piece don't forget the right side to order.
A softtop was included, but brackets were not.
I don't think this is right. A 2016 JKU is in my possession. The brackets are in the wrong place. This soft top does not work with the brackets for the stock soft top from my 2012 JKU.
It works flawlessly.
There is a bracket you need here. It would be nice if it came with the T30 screws instead of having to buy them.
According to expectations.
