Questions & Answers
It's a high-quality, durable sticker. I've got it hooked up to my fifth wheel and it's not going anywhere. I'm sure it wouldn't stick as well if you shifted it from one surface to another. It should be fine as long as the house paint remains on the RV. I'm not sure what would happen if you painted the RV with house paint. Of course, if the paint starts to peel away, the sticker will come off as well.
No rules; We put a state sticker on our RV after staying at least one night while traveling, but that is entirely up to you. Enjoy!
If you clean the slide thoroughly, put it on, and leave it open for a few hours or even a day, it will not come off; however, if the slide shows signs of wear or rubbing on the paint, it will rub off. Before you put it down, take a look at it. Also, double-check that your rubber seal is properly lubricated. Mine didn't have any issues staying put.

Graphics are lovely and the quality is excellent. Instead of mounting it directly on our camper (what if we sell it and buy another one? ), we decided to print pictures that highlight each state's treasures (Texas, for example, has the Alamo). br> ) I mounted it on a piece of Plexiglas that we suction-cup to the window of our camper, so we can swap it out and take it with us no matter what we're driving, and we can keep filling in each of the states we visit and tracking our travels.
We tried again with another map after a botched job applying the map on a black background (once the adhesive grabbed, repositioning it left an opaque spot that looked awful on our glossy black slideout). br>In conclusion, 5 stars for the product and 1 star for the instructions. br>The best advice is to look up how to "apply a vinyl decal to glass" on the internet (this also applies to putting one on the side of a RV). After cleaning the area, use the following techniques: 1) tack the map in place with two pieces of tape at the top to get it where you want it, 2) cut off the material outside the rv map on the sides and bottom, but not the top, 3) use a 2" wide tape (easy to remove type) along the top edge so the tape catches both the rv and the top of the map itself, 4) add 1 or 2 drops of dish soap to a small spray bottle. Start peeling the back of the map away from the map at the top, lightly spraying the back of the map and the rv surface as you go, 5) lay the map down on the rv surface, 6) use a cloth or plastic scraper covered with a cloth to start moving air and water out from under the map, 7) carefully remove the tape at the top and the vinyl piece outside the map itself, so that the map itself doesn't lift up, 8) use a plastic scraper (I The map looks great on the glossy black side of our slide out when installed using this method. br>The states themselves are simple to follow.
The clear vinyl base has good solid lines for a guide as well as colorful states that can be applied as needed. Both have an adhesive that appears to be relatively simple to apply and remove, at least at this point. Enjoy a good product at a fair price.
I did exactly what was asked of me - Using a cloth, start on one side and work your way across. Credit card was covered, and I was able to get it on perfectly without any bubbles. I'm sure you'll get similar results if you take your time and do it right. br>br>I'm disappointed that my home state of Maryland (along with a few others) lacks graphics - Anything less than Massachusetts does not qualify. However, I was aware of this prior to entering the room, so it is as it is. I'm interested to see how it holds up over time, and I'll update this review if the long-term performance is anything less than stellar.
If you look closely at the map, you'll notice that some of the open spots have a 3D effect. Alaska is home to the world's largest mountain range. That's it, then. There is a vacancy in my apartment. In the future, I might drive there. No trailers could be found in Hawaii. I was ! Yes, you have bubbles, and I don't see how to get rid of them. Nope, no need for a needle. This map might have a chance if three people put it on. Over the next two days, I accumulated even more bubbles. Needle is fine, but it isn't very good at removing them. I finally got the trailer out of the garage and went on a short trip. It wound its way through dusty roads. Before I finished cleaning up the trailer, it rained for an inch and a half. Rainy season has come to an end. South Dakota's upper right corner was superglued. I did not clean the trailer with a power washer. It's unlikely that power washer will be used on that map area. On occasion, I clean with a power washer.
We got our RV State Stickers Travel Map a lot faster than we expected. It's currently affixed to the RV. We've already mapped out the states we've visited. The map was quickly created. So far, there have been no issues with it waking up. We can't wait to put the rest of the stickers on the map because they're so colorful. Traveling in an RV- We're on our way!.
We hung this map on the side of our RV, and it has gotten a lot of attention from other campers who have admired it and asked where we got it. It was simple to assemble, and it was entertaining to recall which states we had visited and place their images on the map. The map outline is a good size for display, but the state image sheet is large and difficult to store in an RV with limited space. Although I realize that dividing the images into groups and placing them on smaller pages would likely increase the cost, we are extremely pleased with this product and would highly recommend it.
I read several reviews on how people installed it and combined what I found to be the most effective method for me. We installed this on our RV slideout, so I thoroughly cleaned the area on the side of the RV before installing it. The sticker was then taped at the top only, just on the card's border, with painters tape, and I checked for level before starting the application process. I started by peeling the sticker away from the backing only on the left side. This was a step that I needed assistance with, but you might be able to complete it on your own. With a second pair of hands, it was much easier. I used a soap and water solution to spray the rv and the back of the sticker. I had my wife cut the backing off on the left side, just below the blue painters tape, but not the right side. I then used a cloth-covered plastic scraper to apply the sticker, starting in the center and working my way to the left. After that, I lifted the right side of the sticker off of the backing and had my wife cut it off. The soapy solution was then applied to the back right half of the sticker, starting in the center and working outwards. I didn't have any bubbles, and it stayed level and in the spot I wanted. After that, all I had to do was remove the painter's tape and the top leftover strip of backing card. It took me no more than five minutes. The map's size, quality, and longevity have all exceeded my expectations.
