I'm a big fan of this stuff. a lot of thickness I haven't beaten it on trails or with a mob of protestors or a horde of zombies, but I'm confident it can take a good beating and keep asking for more. I don't mind if the coating gets scratched because I'll just touch up the paint. I was considering adding spikes to the side (; There should be no issues if your quarter panels are solid. My rear right lower side had a few blemishes from the previous bondo owner, but I was still able to mount it. I'm thinking of using silicone to go over the edges and seal it up nicely so that water and grime don't get trapped behind it. I'm not building a pretty machine yet again. Vengeance is a character in the game Vengeance (; If you're looking for a gleaming cake boy jeep, look elsewhere; if you're looking for Mad Max, look elsewhere. t lol t lol t lol t lol t lol t lol t lol t lol I'm not a weak dude, but this stuff is girthy. I wouldn't put this on a ride with old, worn-out shocks and springs because you'll probably droop. I would strongly suggest it. If you want rocker panels, make sure you get them from this company so they line up properly with your armor; otherwise, you'll probably have to modify your rock sliders because each armor is different. Half the price of other armor, with just as good, if not better, quality. I give it two thumbs up! I also purchased a gas cap cover, which adds a nice touch to everything. I'm still looking for rockers, so if you want to start a gofundme page, that would be fantastic.
The product adds durability, strength, and looks great to an older Jeep Wrangler. It's basically like having brand new back side panels. I've gotten a lot of compliments since I installed it. I would recommend these to anyone with an older Jeep who wants to improve the appearance and look of their vehicle while also adding strength and providing a more durable panel on the back and sides.
This is a heavy-duty brush guard that fits almost perfectly, with the exception of a small gap on each side when it turns 90 degrees, which can be filled with seam sealer. All of the holes are perfectly aligned. It came with two small paint chips (most likely from shipping), but that's not a big deal because I'll be putting a Raptor liner over it.
They needed some grinding to fit around the rock sliders, but they look fantastic otherwise. After applying a rubberized undercoat and allowing it to dry, I applied a fluid film to help prevent rust from forming beneath the surface.
I rarely write reviews, but I felt compelled to do so in this case because I was pleasantly surprised at how well the Jeep fit. Start by installing the rear tail light bolts and one fender bolt to keep it in place until the C clamps are installed. Bolt the light side of the tail first (short leg), then work your way down the side (long leg). To keep water from running down the inside top edge, I used a bead of silicone along the inside top edge, but left the bottom open for drainage. Each chamfered bolt also has a bead on the underside. br>br>Powder coating isn't likely to last long - as a result, four stars.
If these guards had put even 5% thought into the radius, they would have been perfect! It didn't fit well. The radius had a 1/2" gap in it. To get a good fit, I had to use a torch. The powder coat finish has been ruined! Live and learn, as they say.
These panels are excellent for hiding dents and scratches in the paint. when you don't have the funds to invest in labor and a fresh coat of paint, etc. The disadvantage is that the corners do not fit together properly. The placement of some of the bolts can be quite challenging.
I've purchased these for both of my jeeps and they're fantastic.
