Although they are quite thick (as he stated XD), the 3M tape fails miserably. You'll be fine if you go to AutoZone and buy some large 3M tape.

Cowells should not be dented before use; overall, a good product for the price

I thought I'd be able to cover my dented cowel with it, but it wasn't quite the fix I had hoped for, and the factory 2 way tape is a little weak unless you have a perfectly undented cowel. I used some extra Gorilla heavy duty thick outdoor 2 way tape to make sure it didn't fly away, and it appears to have worked. Although not perfect, it is a vast improvement over the dented cowel. These appear to be in good condition. They didn't stick very well in a few places. I have, however, taken him through several car washes without coming loose. Just in case, I purchased a backup set.
