It works well for local AM and FM reception; however, as an RF technician, I can tell you that the longer the antenna, the better; frequency ranges on CB are line of sight, so the longer the antenna, the better; I don't believe this antenna will perform as well for CB. I hope this information assists you in making your choice. Good luck

Replaced 32inch whip antenae on Harley that poked me in the eyebr>Shorter antenae with same length wire wrapped around it gave same performance as longer one and looks better no more cussing getting poked in the eyebr>Old antenae twisted off new one twisted on couldn't be easierbr>Do not buy high dollar oem antenae this one will allow trunk on rear bike with easy clearance this is the cheapest after market.
When it comes to Harley-Davidson, I'm a true believer in the brand. However, after paying $60 for a pair of OEM tires that lasted about two years, I decided to give these a shot, and right out of the box, they feel more solid and durable. Return in two years to see how well they've held up.
I'm not a fan of the massive whip found on most Harley touring bikes. This was simple to set up, I don't think I lost any reception quality, and it's discreet. br>br>Safe ridingbr>The Dude.
The antenna appears to be of good quality, but it will not fit an Electra Glide Classic from the year 2003. The threads are too large, and they slip over the antenna's threaded bolt. br>br>I ordered the H21 version, which was flawless.
I didn't like that it arrived incomplete; it claimed to include various screw sizes but didn't, and I needed them.
This was purchased to replace my road glide ultra's stock antenna. It went on easily and performs just as well as stock, with the added benefit of being easier to install on my bike.
The radio stations' transmissions noticeably decreased, which I expected based on other reviews I read. I got it because it's small and I didn't want my big whip protruding from the back of my bike any longer. Because I frequently transmit to the radio via Bluetooth from my phone, losing channels or channel quality isn't a big deal for me.
The long Harley Davidson stock antenna was simply not appealing to me. The shorty appears to be in excellent condition. br>The strange thing is that my reception is much better, especially for low-powered commercial free stations. I'm not sure if it's because of the internal copper winding, but it appears to work.
