Questions & Answers
It looks great on my 1993 Jeep YJ. The top four bolts fit perfectly, but the bottom bolts are significantly out of alignment. I skipped the bottom bolts and it's a tight fit.
Yes, the six bolts that hold it in place should be removed.
Not here
It will fit if the dimensions match those of a Jeep TJ.

Every corner of the package is padded with a thick layer of rubber. br>br>When I installed it, I had to shimmy the old bumper out of the way a little because it is a tight fit (which I prefer). The top back bolts should be installed first, followed by the top front bolts. To line up holes, you'll need to adjust side to side a little. Next, try to install the bottom two (untightened) bolts; if one or more of the bottom bolts does not fit, tighten only the top back bolts. The bumper will level out as a result, and the bottom bolts will be able to go in without difficulty. For me, the installation took about 2 hours, but I like to take my time and make sure everything is done correctly. br>br>I would recommend this seller to anyone because he is very quick and courteous. Any questions you may have will be answered in great detail.
With the proper tools and knowledge, installation is simple. Overall, I'd recommend this product because it looks great and appears to be made of high-quality steel with excellent craftsmanship. Because I live in Michigan and rust gets into everything, I decided to apply another coat of bediner to the whole thing just in case. br>br>On the bottom, one of the mounting tabs was slightly bent, but this was easily fixed with a few solid whacks with a hammer. Why are people so upset about this, I'm not sure. It is unavoidable that shipping damage occurs. If you're handy, you'll be able to easily fix these problems. The factory plastic cover did require some trimming to fit back on properly, but that wasn't a big deal because I expected it and had the tools on hand. br>br>Overall, my first impression of this product is very positive, and I will update this after a few months of use and use of the winch that is mounted to it. br>br>4/2/20 Update: It's been a few weeks since I've had it. I was able to go offroading and even use the winch. The bumper has held up well and has handled some rock/branch impacts without issue; I'll update in a few months or a year after more extensive use!.
This is a fantastic look. Exceptional Value!! I've been searching for a bumper for my 97 Jeep TJ (SIEGE) that I'm rebuilding for a little over a year. I looked at a few, but they were either too expensive or didn't have the right look for me. (I had GoldieLocks on my mind. ) As you can see in the photos, I shortened my fenders and couldn't find anything that matched. My wife gave me this EAG bumper (51-1) as a present for my birthday. 0034) as a surprise, and while I was initially concerned, I was taken aback when I opened the neatly packaged EAG bumper. I was taken aback even more when I put her on (in less than 20 minutes) because she made SIEGE look even more ferocious. It was the look I had been looking for (not too fat, not too long, and strong build). I couldn't believe it when she told me how much she paid for it; the quality didn't match the price; we all know what you get when you pay for something cheap, but that wasn't the case here. It's a fantastic bargain! To be honest, I am a new EAG supporter. This product comes highly recommended by me. Thank you, EAG.
It appeals to me. It was simple to set up. It was a lot easier because I mounted the winch to the bumper first and then put everything together. It went off perfectly. I used a can of spray paint to cover the d- Before I put the rings and nameplate on, I painted them metallic red.
So I contacted customer service to see if there was anything I could do. The welds on the 8,000lb winch I attached to it broke the first time I used it, scaring the living daylights out of me; any further and the winch would have ripped off from the bumper. The bumper's powder coating is a joke, flaking off more easily than any dirt or mud. I previously owned another bumper in the same style, and it performed admirably. So I called customer service to see if they could fix the problem, only to be told that it was covered by a 30-day warranty and that they couldn't help me. br>br>Stay away from this bumper, and believe me when I say that if that winch had fallen off, someone would have died. I'm also going to post this review on a few other websites. road forums to warn others about the dangers of E- If you value your safety, Autogrilles products are for you.
This product has a lot of flaws, and here is a list of them:br>br>1) Packaging. Although it appears to be in good condition, both of the frame's mounting tabs were badly bent. Because the metal is thick and takes some effort to bend back, and because the movement caused all of the paint to flake off, I'll have to re-paint it. Now is the time to start painting. 2) Fit. br>br> The bolts pass through slots machined into the tabs that bolt to the frame. On the TJ frame, these threads are WAY off the mark. I understand that this is a low-cost item, but this isn't a universal part that will fit a variety of vehicles - So, in my opinion, there is no excuse for it. br>br>Last but not least, I have a complaint - For a few months after purchasing the bumper, I did not attempt to install it. That was a huge blunder. Because the return window is only 30 days, if you do decide to take a chance and purchase this item, make sure you test it right away for fitment and shipping damage. Because I won't be able to return the item, I'll do my best to make it fit and accept the flaws. If I had to do it all over again, I would spend more money on a better-built vehicle. br>br> br>br>I hope this information aids you in your decision-making process.
I went to a friend's house to install it because I figured I'd need his assistance. I did, in fact, do so. The bumper arrived in good condition and appeared to be made of steel of reasonable quality. I don't mind if the welds are a little sloppy. On the inside, there was bare metal in a lot of the nooks and crannys, so I had to buy some undercoating to fill everything in before it rusted. We also had to bend the metal tab on the driver's side back to fit in the bumper slots because it was slightly bent out. And I had to swap out the hole locations because none of them were aligned. The factory Jeep plastic bumper cover piece had to be trimmed back a few inches as well. Overall, it looks good, but it took some time to put together.
