What color is it, exactly?

Black is the color of the Loctite 502908 undercoating.

Is it possible to use this on a trailer's underside made of wood?

This product is for corrosion protection; I don't see why you'd want to use it on wood; it'll work on any part that's prone to corrosion, thank you.

THE COLOR IS BROWN, NOT BLACK! UPDATE

I can't give it a high rating because I haven't been able to use it yet due to the color. I was almost finished with this customer's truck, and as you can see in the photo, it is completely different from the 3M undercoating I used on the rest of the truck. UPDATE- This was used on the wheel wells and can be said to be 15-years-old. I followed the instructions on the can (which are the same as most others) and it's been an hour and a half and it's still almost as wet as it was when I sprayed it. Also, it's worth noting that my shop is kept at a comfortable temperature of 67 degrees Fahrenheit. In my opinion, this is a very poor product. I will never buy anything else.

I've tried several brands and this is my favorite; I've never had a problem with the nozzle clogging like I have with other brands

So far, it's holding up well; I've pressure washed the underside of my vehicle three times since spraying it on, and it appears to be very durable. It was also very simple to apply; just make sure the surface is dry and clean before you start.

For machinery and tools, I use a thin undercoating similar to this. The price was reasonable, and it performed admirably. The spray was a little uneven, but it did the job.
