Questions & Answers

Does anyone think these hold a candle to the ?

It serves a separate purpose for each of them that I have. Water absorbs very well from both, which is why there is no need to choose between them. Glass is easier to clean with the Meguiars because their thickness isn't as thick. To dry and polish the bodies of our cars, I use the larger 16 x 24 Chemical Guys towels. While the Meguriars are thin, that doesn't mean that they don't absorb water Due to my automatic dry system and waterless wash, I also like to polish as I dry and the thicker towels from Chemical Guys do that for me. These two brands are among the best on the market. Over the years I have used a great deal of towels and these two always stay in my closet. It appears that I have found towels that more than meet my needs, so the search for the perfect towel is over. Size does matter when it comes to drying your vehicle, so pick the right towel. Despite trying the smaller Chemical Guys towels, I was not impressed with them.

It is not necessary for me to have six seats in Could you please let me know what else these are used for?

You do need more than six for your car, as you are nearly a year late on this. You may be able to if you wash and dry your car. It's important to note that if you do any periodic detailing or if you wax or coat your vehicle, you'll need more than six. In the event the cloth ever touches the ground, you should be sure to keep it After you fold the cloth into quarters, you should only do one rolling swipe and then you should use a clean side. If you do more than one swipe, you could be depositing product back on It takes me 2 each to wear the top and the hood. If I keep one on the trunk, I won't have to worry about theft. In general, I use eight on the sides. Then, for the glass, I use another eight for all the windows on the outside, and another eight for the inside. We need 8 more wipes to remove excess protectorate from the inside. Lastly, wheels and tires, which would bring the grand total to Besides, it should not be washed more than 10 times before being discarded (which means you need a way to track how many times you've beenhed it), but where you could use it to clean the interior of the engine compartment or Your six aren't being used correctly if you are only using 6. My personal preference is the Microfiber cloths of the Rag Company that are edgeless and tagless, and are

Does the cleaning process have to be done by hand or can they be washed in the washing machine?

There are several video tutorials on YouTube that show how to wash them correctly in a washing machine. If you dry them in the dryer, I was told that you should use light heat on little time in order to preserve

What kind of leather cleaner do you sell with these? Are these as soft as the brown ones?

While I am not sure about the brown versions, I purchased these and use them on my motorcycles and cars and they work really well. The fabric is very absorbent and soft.

Lint is 100% present, so it isn't lint free
3/5

The Chemical Guys wash soap, wax, and everything else I buy are all fantastic, so I ordered this product Gee, I don't know if I received an old stock, because as I used my car to wipe it it was full of lint. This is awful. This brand does not deliver like others at a lower cost.

An ideal microfiber blend and the right size for detailing
5/5

It was no longer doing a very good job when I used it to remove wax from my car or with my Quick Detailer, so I needed to replace the Meguiar's microfiber towel from 3 years ago. The Chemical Guys towels had been getting good reviews, so I decided to try them out for myself. What they claim and what I think about them are as follows "- " The ultimate in luxury A soft towel is perfect for summer! I would definitely call this towel thick and soft. Please note I would like to use it for my final A touch of buffing and polishing By wiping your hand across the screen It is easy to remove wax and/or polish and does not leave streaks behind. Please note It's lint free & 100% cotton - No scratches to worry about When you buy a towel that sheds, you're stuck with it No lint or sheepskin is left behind with these towels - A 70/30 microfiber blend The blend of these towels is much better than many others, and they are very soft. The edges of silk are further resistant to I like the softness of the edges - A plush top and a plush bottom - two heights for endless The soft side is what I typically use to detail my projects, but some people might prefer the short side. The bright yellow color highlights dirt it gives you a better visual of when to flip to avoid scratches. When you drive from point A to point B, a bright yellow color may help you determine whether you have washed your car completely By using these garments you will be able to see where there are dirt spots since the yellow color stands out against any dirt. In summary, these lovely, plush microfiber towels are perfectly sized, plush and of fine quality. I hope I can get just as many years from these towels as I did from.

A wide range of considerations were made - Towel that serves as a benchmark
5/5

There's a good reason for that! Towels like these are seen as the standard when it comes to car washes, and for good Microfiber seems to be of excellent quality, with the longer loops on one side giving it a fluffier feel that is excellent for drying your car or completing a 'soft buff' (e. It is applicable to removing a gentle wax), while the other side has a longer nap that is excellent for removing polish powder, compound or any other product that leaves a crusty Due to their dual sided nature, these towels can cover a lot of ground simultaneously, and the microfiber and appropriate density make them an all around excellent towel. They are, in a way, the 'jack of all trades in the detailing world,' if you will. It is definately not thin, but the thread density is not particularly high either (I received a couple towels in a kit that have the same The short nap side is supposed to be more water-absorbent, however I think the side with the longer nap may not be as effective). In addition to the above, the towels comes in two different sizes, making up for the 'average' thread density (for lack of a better term) by providing a larger surface area to soak up the In addition, while having nothing to do with the product itself, the price for the 16x24 (large) 6-printed copy is too high. There is nothing better than this pack. It cost me $14 to buy a number of them. A pack will cost you 40 bucks, so this is a truly amazing deal). I do not have a problem using this product as long as I soak the towel in the degreaser I use first (I do this to prepare the After I have used my towels, I treat them with a high-quality fabric wash to remove stubborn dirt/grime like the black spots one gets after accidentally rubbing against window molding), causes the towel to fade quite a bit. Although it does not affect how the towel performs, I find the golden yellow color pleasing to the eye. A similar issue arises when you use overly hot water, or put too much heat on the towel dryer. Use a microfiber detergent (which is basically just detergent without additives, but you can find it fairly cheap so it's not a scam to pick it up), wash on 'colors' setting (warm wash, cool rinse) and dry on most low or no heat settings Synthetic thread melts when exposed to heat, so be careful not to use too much. As a whole, this towel is 'the bar' and for good reason, as it is widely used. Plusher towels will absorb large amounts of water, towels with different color sides will be useful for those who want to wash their clothes with no rinse so that they don't need to be ironed, and towels with different fiber patterns will offer greater comfort. You can also use the dirty side, etc. But if you can only have one towel type, then this guy is great! It can do it all, and it can do it In addition, the fact that I was able to pick up 6 packs of the 16x24 towels for just two dollars a pop is truly.

Washing of the towels caused them to disintegrate
3/5

When I went to wash these towels, they were great, until I tried to wash According to the directions, I discovered the single towel left behind a lot of fibers after I washed it. My next attempt was to wash some of the other towels to see if there was a problem with the one towel, but all the towels were affected. I was pretty disappointed when I ran into this problem the first time I washed them. Upon contacting Chemical Guys, they said that since the warranty period had expired, they would not be able to help.

A micro-sized leaf Like glue, these fibers stick very well
3/5

It's hard to tell what their major issue is from these thick and soft towels. When auto glass is cleaned out of the box, the glass leaves behind a fine layer of lint that is virtually impossible to remove. The problem persisted after we washed them and ran them through two dryer cycles, although much less than it had been on It was only by lightly brushing over the glass with another towel that was dry that we could remove the micro fibers. I don't want to deal with that much hassle. These will probably end up being used as regular rags to clean up grease and oil.
