My understanding of the matter is hazy. Last spring, I used it to cover some boat seats and was very impressed with how it looked and held up over time. may want to consider dyes for your canvas. If you have samples or want to buy canvas and test it. There is only one thing I would want to be careful about stiffening the canvas. For a Bimini top, it may be ok. Initially I was not certain of the product, but I tried it and I am very impressed. If you follow the instructions and use promo, it sticks and lasts a long time. It's a great color to bring a boat back to life by painting it ultra blue.
