A ball is approximately 3" away from the hinge. There is a diameter of 1" for the ball at the hinge, and there is a width of 1". Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have questions.

A generic part would be able to fit nearly any panel, hatch, etc. so long as you could rivet, bolt or screw it into place.

Rubber is very hard and has very little stretch, making the exact placement of receiver extremely critical. Sharp and thin metal edges, poor quality, thin metal, and rubber with very ridged surfaces. The rubber is also too thick for such thin metal and causes some bending of the Although the best feature is the price, depending on the application you might want to consider a better quality solution before drilling any mounting holes in your project. Based on the pic I had expected more beef in this product, but it ended up being more "wet" than I had anticipated. I have no idea why the rubber looked so big in the pictures. I found the hood not as secure when it was installed as it moves around a bit when driving on This should be able to stand up to abuse and not be damaged.

The flip forward hood on my Jeep had these on it. I certainly had no problems with them, but they look like they might be suffering in the sun in south florida As of now, they seem to be functioning properly, but only time will tell whether or not they crack.
