What is the safe use of Obenauft's oil on ?

Yes, I used it on my leather couch for years. It did not darken it in my memory. This black object was in the distance. You should test it on a small portion of spit first to make sure it is As well as leather seats and steering wheels, it's great for use on leather.

What is the difference between obenauf's leather oil and their heavy duty leather preserver There is a footwear product I would like to know more about. ?

The Obernauf website states If you need a strong level of protection for work boots, horse saddles, and other items, use Heavy Duty LP. Leather you find on tack, belts, baseball gloves, or any other leather subjected to harsh conditions. The proper leather oil is essential for not only furniture, but also "breaking-in" new furniture Touch-ups with new boots and for quick fixes The interval between applications of Heavy Duty LP, in dry weather, and in moderate weather.

It must get smooth texture like a new jacket if it has been dried for a long time? I have a black leather jacket that has been dried for a long time. ?

The texture might not be able to be restored to its original state but I cannot be sure? As far as I know, the leather will feel softer after applying it. It will darken, become soft, and be waterproof if the leather has faded either slightly or a great deal.

Do you know of anyone who has used it on sheepskin leather? Only lanolin products should be used on it, according to the manufacturer. ?

The idea does not appeal to me. Put it in a place that is discrete if you choose to use it. Purchasing it again would be my choice if I needed it for leather. I wish you the best of

This product is slightly easier to handle than leather honey
4/5

The Amazon review policy seems to be filtering reviews until they're more positive, rejecting honest reviews as well as accepting only helpful reviews. The majority of this review was positive and has already been rejected, but I thought I'd try As I had a lot of catching up to do with all my leather goods, I purchased both Leather Honey and Obenauf's Leather Conditioner. The boots and bags were on my list of items to try on. Each did an admirable job of moisturizing the different leathers and they also darkened them a bit, with some leathers returning to their previous shade whereas others remaining very dark (this was especially the case with Obinauf's leather). I didn't find the technical aspects to be particularly different, but the application itself was. It is hard to work the Leather Honey into seams and small areas since it is thick. It's like the thick honey one can't get out of a jar in the morning on a cold winter day. The result is that you will need to use far fewer than the Obenaufs. I love the fact that when you remove the Obenauf's from the Jar, it drips from the handy applicator (which I love). You can easily put more than you intend on, and it wipes off easily you can also soak in hard to reach areas or sewn on areas. The leather had a lot of white flaking after it had dried with Obenauf's, but the flaking was very easily removed with a towel. A woman at Obenauf's responded to my email to express frustration that I am "using too much product. " No matter how little I used, I still got this residue on shoes, bags, etc. In other words, the woman is full of bugger all. After the disappointing email exchange, I think I would recommend Obenauf's to Leather Honey even though I wanted to dislike it. It is ridiculously hard to find a better product if you take into consideration the price, ease of use and the similar results I had.

It's curious why rave reviews are so popular

My apology is that I applied this product twice to my leather jacket before realizing, afterward, that the bottle specifically said, "do not saturate. " Despite this, I have no answers nor can I claim liability for the completely displeasing and raging odor that ruined my jacket, which is likely the result of oil. Certainly, saturation is one thing, but the opposite is true when it comes to stiffness. product's scent after application is not repulsive or offensive however, after six weeks, the scent transformed into an odor that had me hanging it in the garage in order to get rid of the odor. There was nothing more DISGUSTING than this. Who knows? Maybe they use vegetable oil in their product. Hopefully, dry cleaning will be able to help It might be two times as much In order to restore the jacket to its former state, I must purge the jacket. The future does not look promising for me.

Thanks a lot! As far as I could tell, there was no odor

Following application, I checked water resistance using the faucet test -- turn on the faucet and let the water flow over it for a few days. As if a duck's back were dripping with water, the water beaded up. While I'm not familiar with its durability, I am curious about how it will hold up in prolonged soaking. The fuzzy applicator included with the product makes it very easy to apply. However, you need to exercise caution. You will need to dab a lot of conditioner out of it since that container holds a lot. The risk of applying too much is very high. It took about five days for the solution to soak into the leather and then it was quite hard In the 8 oz size you can fit the holster, as well as a belt, a pair of shoes and A definite darkening of brown leather was detected, so if you are concerned about color, consider that. It is to my taste that the darkening accentuated the design.

You're doing a great job

On an old Italian leather sofa I bought in poor condition from a second-hand shop, I used this to clean it Shops that sell secondhand goods. In addition to cleaning (with different products) and using some other leather refinishing companies, I finally introduced Obenauf's Leather Oil after not being satisfied with the final result. Keep cleaning the new "finishes" and clean everything else that has been touched. Once the Obenauf's were applied, let them cure for a few days before using them. It needs to be applied AGAIN after letting it sit for a few more I left it in a warm room for a couple of days to buff up the leather, and then I used Skidmore's leather cream as a final application. THEN we've got Obenauf's and Skidmore's. . . . we've left it with that combination you mentioned. I wanted a matte finish. There is no stickiness, no stiffness, that the leather is now extremely supple (and that is where Obenauf's leather really shines) and it has the luster and quality The sofa was practically new and I couldn't believe it would be salvaged. . . I didn't think I could save it, but it is truly beautiful - I like this seat because it's cool. . . and I can look at my favorite place. Also used Obenauf's to restore a favorite pair of old boots without any problems. I can definitely see that it DARKENS the finish, but for me it does not pose a problem. You're doing a great job.

A leather conditioner you can trust, but you should know a few things before using it
5/5

As a leather product user, I've read tons of reviews and tried a lot over the years, but I'm looking for something that would darken my leather as well as protect it from rainy days. Among the top items on voted lists, this product was the best. Your leather will be darker than five shades after using this product. It's oil so be careful where you apply, through watertight plastic or something to protect the lower surface if you want to apply. You should know this before applying, but it's also noted on the bottle so it shouldn't be a surprise. I applied one thick coat to this Australian hat because it is made of kangaroo leather, and it absorbed the oil very well. My new hat looks great in its dark color. This post will be updated in about a week when the fabric has dried and I have had a chance to wear it * Consider this product if you are looking for leather protection that is manufactured in the United States. I hope you all stay dry in the rain. I love it.

This is the best! By restoring tired leather to a richer, darker appearance, Obenauf's makes it look like new! This is a great product for any leather (but not suede) you want to keep looking good for a long time
5/5

Please note I've placed orders twice now and each time some oil seeped into the box since the lid was open. It would be great to see the manufacturer's logo. It would be better if the lid was better sealed. There is a problem with transporting it.
