A better alternative to Vachetta is Apple Guarde. The purpose of purchasing this is to condition the leather on a new Louis Vuitton Noir/monogram bag (so that it does not curl). The leather expert recommended it to minimize curling. As far as I can tell, it does not curl when it's used on the tabs, handles, and shoulder strap. After that, I then used it on a 15 year old LV backpack and again, it softened/conditioned nicely, so I was pleased with this product. Based on that experience I used it on a brand new LV bag with the virgin vachetta, It did more than darken the vachetta it also gave the dish a glossy, plastic-like look It has a fake look to it. Darkening wasn't so much of a problem for me as I was bothered by the shiny/hard plastic-look My decision to use fake look was a serious mistake and I seriously regret using As a subject of credit, when I tested an inconspicuous spot to see if it would prevent water spots on the new vachetta, its result was positive. Unfortunately, the finish is poor as well. Desperate, I let it dry several days and then used the Apple Garde, which was often recommended, to see if it would help in any way. Fortunately, However, it did at least soften it up so that it is at least much more appealing in appearance and feels I give it a 3, so I gave it a It's a 5 out of 5. I am blown away by this product. In order to enhance the appearance of my black leather boots, I used this product and it worked very well. I did not need to use any special tools or make any mess. This needs to be rubbed into the leather and allowed to dry (which does not take very long at all). On the left in my picture you can see the untreated boot, and on the right you can see the treated boot. The next time I purchase, I'll definitely do so!.
