In the end, I chose to use a watered down Mr. Clean magic eraser because I did not like the results I got with the cleaner. When it has dried, I have used Apple Brand leather conditioner and I have been extremely pleased with the results. While some of the water stains did not completely go away, I am really impressed with how many of them did and how my purse looks now. Even though it slightly darkened the vachetta leather, I still like the look of it in comparison to how it was originally. The leather conditioner is very good and I highly recommend it!.

So I bought this set and despite the nerve wracking decision I made, it turned out to be really great. In the absence of idea how to clean an expensive bag, I tried a cleaning product on it anyway. As you can see from the photos, I photoshop circled (blue circles) around two long dark green pens (? I used the product after my second photo, which was after I removed them. They weren't too noticeable at all, but I did want them removed. This worked like magic for me! The fact that this was recommended to me means that I can keep it on hand at all times.

What a great bunch of stuff! In spite of my best efforts, as you can see in the before and after pictures, I beat the crap out of my purse and shoes. Although I should have done this a while ago, I was apprehensive because it was my first time cleaning and conditioning anything leather.
I noticed a few pen marks and some watermarks on the purse that didn't come out. On my next go around, I will try using a magic eraser since I've heard it can be helpful. You can see that there is a big improvement here, although it isn't perfect. Only thing negative I have to say is that the cloth that comes with it is just a crappy washcloth, I only used it to clean the machine. As a way to apply the conditioner and remove it, I buffed it with an old clean t-shirt. This is an excellent product, I will buy it again without a doubt. (The Coach bag is made from natural full grain leather that has be burnished to give it a glove-like feel. It is made from tanned hides. In this review, I honestly felt SUPER disappointed/anger/and kinda angry with previous reviewers 'raving' about the product. This is the first time I have used this product and I was hoping that it would add a bit more moisture than Fiebing's. Obviously a mistake. A 1200 Alma General Motors has been ruined by me. Despite all these years, I still prefer Apple Brand's line of leather care products. So, in any case, let me take a moment to post a review of mention that both of these products are available individually, and you may find that you use them at different rates, and that you need more of the conditioner than the cleaner, and that's actually a very good thing Having been recommended this product by a Franklin Covey representative far enough in the past to make me feel very old, I have been using it for nearly as long as I have been using Based on my experience with ten or so of the various cleaners and conditioners I have tried, I have concluded that Apple Conditioner actually works better than any others for basic cleaning, light touch ups, and conditioning. While I use their cleaner for heavier soil and occasionally another (for the most horrific, worst stains, when the item has partly degraded and can't be totally restored), but this conditioner works wonders for almost all purposes as the first line cleaning agent. The product cleans gently when buffed with a soft cloth. After removing and reapplying, gently buffing again to ensure thorough absorption, the remaining moisture is left behind. In the case of difficult leather that requires too much moisture for a single treatment, I will often leave a thin layer on it for a half hour or more. As I mentioned before, this works like a charm for my Franklin planner and it never, ever harms any of the items I have The cleaner removes dirt and grime gently while preserving the leather's shape and texture. It is suitable for tougher stains, but not the toughest stains. In spite of this, Apple Brand always tries to avoid the use of harsh chemicals and excessive buffing to remove tough pen stains and deeply embedded debris from leather. Both types of cleaning require stronger chemicals and excessive buffing to remove and both types of cleaning Apple Brand actively avoids. Cleaning that preserves and restores, not damaging, is what their philosophy is all about, and that is what this type of cleaning can do for you. Despite the instructions on the label, I have found that the conditioner is useful in many more applications than the ones listed. I cannot use anything to gently clean away bits of discoloration without harming lamb leather, so I just use a tiny amount of the Conditioner and only the conditioner, buffing gently and wiping away after about ten seconds, on a lamb handbag from that era. My favorite old bag is kept as clean and smooth as possible by application of this product, despite the fact that I've used it so heavily over the years. In the case that you need this product for unfinished leather, know that it is specifically designed NOT to be used on unfinished leathers. Always test it on a hidden and small spot, buff gently but quickly, and wipe away after about 10 If you treat your item with this conditioning product instead of the cleaner, it will appear dark and damaged for a few minutes and then, after about ten minutes, it will appear as new leather would look if you treated it.
