Questions & Answers

Is this a good headlamp for a car?

Yes! Simply ensure that the lamps are clean and free of oil. If the lamps are old, polish them first with toothpaste, rubbing compound, or even a wet sand and polish if they are fogged and scratched. Simply clean and degrease new lamps as needed. I drew stencils and placed them in the appropriate locations. Attempting to make one out of tape and then removing it slipped and distorted the shape.

Is this the ultimate or ultimate plus version of xpel?

According to Xpel management, this is the Ultimate Plus @ 8 mils. For the exterior of vehicles, they only make two PPF versions: Ultimate Plus @ 8 mils and Ultimate Plus 10 @ 10 mils. Please accept my sincere gratitude.

Is it possible to remove it?

Not without causing paint damage, in my experience (see my review).

3M is less sticky than XPEL
4/5

both positive and negative aspects of a situation - Headlight installation with a lot of curves. In a 2008 Sienna with very curvy headlights, I installed XPEL on the passenger side and 3M on the driver's side. Installing window tint film with water and a few drops of soap was very similar in both cases. The 3M will easily slide around, allowing you to work on the final location before squeegeeing the water out. In contrast, even with soapy water, the XPEL tends to stick. If you're attempting to stretch around corners with XPEL, this is a good option. The XPEL was a little more stretchable and flexible. This is also bad for XPEL because it increases the likelihood of it sticking and trapping debris, water and air bubbles, and sticking where you don't want it to. If you stick and remove too many times, even with a lot of water spray, the adhesive balls up in places, causing a visual defect if you're working on a clear surface like a headlight. If I had to do it all over again, I'm still undecided about which one I'd buy. I'll check in again in a few weeks or months to see how well the water bubbles have gone away and how well the performance has improved. Water bubbles were easy to push out with 3M, but XPEL clung to and trapped a few that I couldn't get rid of. Note that I couldn't do this with a single sheet due to the severe curves, so I ended up overlapping two sheets, one low and one high, to handle the curves (both products).

Fantastic film for keeping nasties out of your car! Xpel film is ideal for preventing unexpected paint damage on your vehicle
5/5

In my case, the film is primarily used to protect the paint from other objects that may be placed on top of it. For example, I've used this film to cover the rubber bases of car roof racks by placing a rectangle of the film on the paint where the rubber bases will sit. When the roof rack is removed, there will be no "outline" left on the paint. I've also used the film to apply various stickers to the car (HOV lane passes, for example) by simply sticking the sticker to the film, cutting it down to size, and then applying the film to the car. This ensures a strong bond, but also allows for easy removal without leaving any sticker residue on the vehicle. The smoothing tool/squeege shown in the video is included to ensure that any air bubbles are removed. It's simple to set up, and it's even simpler to take down. The film isn't easy to remove, but in my experience, it comes off cleanly and hasn't pulled any paint off when I've removed it (which I've done on several vehicles). Overall, I would recommend this film to anyone who wants to protect certain areas of their car from stickers or other objects.

I bought a new truck a few years ago and had an XPEL dealer install the paint protection in several locations to protect the paint from rocks, tree sap, bugs, and frequent use around the door handles and door edge guards
5/5

The XPEL product has been operating without a hitch. The dually fender was one item that the dealer overlooked. This kit was purchased as a do-it-yourself project. I took measurements and cut the provided squares after thoroughly cleaning the dually fenders and making a soap bottle according to the instructions. After that, I washed each fender as well as the film. I squeegeed it all out after putting it on. After that, I dried the area with great care. br>br>After each dually fender was completed, it was left to dry for 48 hours. I continued to go places, but I didn't have to do any laundry. br>br>They look great and my fenders are now protected after several months (many pressure 'car wash' washings).

Xpel ! The Best Clear Protector on the Market! Xpel is the name of the game
5/5

In today's world of clear protection for your car or motorcycle, Xpel outperforms all others. br>I've tried just about every product out there, from 3M to cheap China stuff. br>Xpel doesn't yellow as much on a white car, but have you ever seen a clear bra Yellow on a black car? It appears to be getting worse. Believe me when I say that it has happened to me! br>After finding Xpel for me, it's all I use now. In fact, I just picked up a brand new black Lincoln Contentalbr>The same day I picked up my Lincoln, I went to my Xpel Installer to have it installed. br>Clear, 18-inch front hood, front bumper, outside side mirrors, door guards, and rear bumper. br>I drive the highway for about 30K miles a year or more, and after three years, the rocks between the highways are kicking up snow, salt, and rain. It's the only way to keep your car looking brand new on a daily basis.
Note. I take my car to my Xpel Dealer after I've driven it for three years as a limousine driver, accumulating around 90k to 100k miles. Remove all clear protection, then have the car detailed. br>Except for a few minor dings on the side that I had a dent repair company take care of, it always looks brand new. Then trade in your old car for a new one. br>My dealer couldn't believe my car had that many miles when I traded it in. My Secreat is of Xpel Clear Protection
well at least 75% of its condition is of Xpel Clear Protection
well at least 75% of its condition is of.

When it comes to headlights, this works wonders
5/5

I'm giddy with delight. I have an older Honda Fit that I keep outside, and her headlights were severely yellowed and cloudy. I previously used a headlight product that worked well but quickly wore off, leaving my headlights in a bad state. My headlights look fantastic after I wet sanded them with 3000 grit sandpaper and then applied this product. It's not perfect; there are a few bubbles here and there, but the overall appearance of the finished product warms my heart, and I couldn't take my eyes away from it. If anything changes, I'll let you know. This product does not require the use of a squeegee. The one that came with it is fantastic.

I would strongly suggest it
5/5

I purchased the 6" x 84" to protect my 2019 Honda Pilot's door sills. I looked up installation videos on YouTube. As directed, I used a spray bottle filled with dish soap. For the four door sills, the size I ordered was more than adequate. I used the extra to clean the trunk, which had already been scratched and fingerprinted. Take your time and go at your own pace. There are a few bubbles and flaws, but they are only for the door sills. I finished the trunk last; by that time, I'd gained some experience and it turned out much better.
