Questions & Answers

Is it possible to apply it with a brush?

Yes, it is possible to apply it with a brush. Our truck bed turned out to be a beautiful work of art.

Is there a spray gun included in this kit?

No, only the kit; the gun can be bought separately and is reusable.

My entire truck has been sprayed. I'm not sure if I should clearcoat it right away or wait 7 days for it to cure. Is it acceptable to do it after it has dried for an hour?

I'm not sure why you're getting the responses that you're getting. I've used this stuff to simulate wheel flares on about 20 truckbeds, as well as a bunch of lower body perimeters and around wheel wells. After you've added the correct amount of hardner, mix 2k polyurethane clear (I prefer UreChem products) directly with the bed coating. Add clear, leaving just enough room in the bottle to get a good mix while shaking (usually 3 to 4 oz) - As directed, give it a good shake. Spray as usual, and you won't have to worry about cleaning it up later. I've also sprayed clear over the "uncleared" product and completed the process in about an hour. There are no problems at all. ever. Work on the preparations: as with any other product of this nature - is essential for long-lasting adhesion.

Is it necessary to prime whatever you intend to paint, or is there an etching primer for metal?

No, but before spraying, you must scuff the surface with 80 grit and wipe it down with acetone. If the surface is bare metal, a black primer should be applied first, followed by a light sanding before applying the raptor liner.

Enclosed trailers benefit greatly from this product
5/5

Preparation is crucial, as others have stated. Tape off ANY AREA OR OBJECT that you don't want Raptor to go near. Raptor DOES WORK ON WOOD, but any oily areas will need to be sanded quickly. Keep a container of lacquer thinner on hand for emergencies. This makes cleaning the sprayer after every 4 liters much easier. It begins to accumulate "gunk. " br>br>I would recommend spraying the first coat one way on trailers (as I did in my application). On the second coat, work in the opposite direction (front to back, back to front, or vice versa). The grain / grooves in the plywood are to blame for this. You'll have spots where the plywood grains are still visible if you spray both coats in the same direction. br>br>I used a pancake compressor with a capacity of 6 gallons and a working pressure of 70 psi. Because I wasn't consistent with the depth spraying on the first coat, it was a bit difficult. I was going in and out at a depth of 12" to 20". Don't worry, because you can easily fix the texture of the final product by applying a second coat. On the second coat, just be consistent. br>br>You do not require 100ML of paint, as UPOL suggests. Purchasing automobile paint can be quite costly. The key is to keep the ML per Liter ratio constant. For each liter, I used 70ml Jet Black. br>br>To touch Raptor takes an hour to dry. The "texture" is still soft after 4 hours of walking on it. Allowing it to dry overnight before applying the second coat is highly recommended. Before walking or working in the trailer, I let the liner fully cure for a week. It's a solid piece of work. br>br>The dimensions of my trailer are 18'L x 7'W. I sprayed the floor, ramp, and the first 18 inches of the walls. I used the following amount (in the hopes that this will help others, as I couldn't find the right amount to buy based on reviews):

- 2 quarts of automotive paintbr>- Raptor (15 liters).

It's all about the raptor liner! I just finished spraying it, but I have to say that the custom coat alternative product is a waste of money
5/5

This raptor is your best bet. For my bedliner, bumper, and bottom skirting, I used 14 bottles of custom coat black. With the tintable option, I only used 6 bottles of raptor liner to cover the entire truck, including the inner door jams. This is by far the more user-friendly and superior product. I got the custom coat for the black because I didn't care as much about it, but I wish I had just ordered all raptors. thanks! Also, I'd say that preparation is important because it gets everywhere, and I mean everywhere. If you don't want it texted, put it on tape.

It worked perfectly, and I have a few personal recommendations that may be useful
5/5

It came out beautifully and was a breeze to spray. I went with a generic U-shaped U-shaped U-shaped U-shaped U Spray gun (U-shaped) made of POL I used a husky 20 gallon air compressor set to 50 PSI and a Pol Products 0726 GRAVITEX spray gun. (Side note: To get a consistent and true 50 PSI, set the pressure while holding the spray gun open. Prepping with 220 grit sand paper and tape off with generic painter's tape took about an hour. After I sanded the bed, I cleaned it with rubbing alcohol. After that, I spent about 6 hours spraying four coats of paint on the bed and tailgate. I cleaned the spray gun with acetone in between coats. It all came out beautifully. The photos are arranged in chronological order, starting with the sanding stage and progressing to the first, second, third, and final coats.

70 psi is a fantastic product! smooth texture at 1' - 40 psi
5/5

70 psi is a fantastic product! smooth texture at 1' - At a rougher texture of 2', the pressure is 40 psi. For the rocker rock guard, I went smooth, and for the bedliner, I went rough. Quality is excellent. incredibly long-lasting If you want professional-looking coatings, I recommend buying two kits. However, I'm not sure if one kit will suffice. I put on one kit, and I have no doubt that it will be insufficient. With a thinner coating, I believe this product will last as long as professional sprayed kits. The schutz weapon must be purchased separately. Don't be scared--this isn't something to be afraid of. This can be sprayed by anyone and make a good impression. The gun can be cleaned with a quarter cup of acetone sprayed through it. When mixing or spraying, put on an organic vapor respirator. For about a week, it will also emit fumes. I mix two bottles at a time, and you'll be done in no time. It will get on the ground, floor, walls, panels, and other surfaces after 1 hour of flash time, so make sure you mask off well and do it outside or cover anything you don't want it on. However, I adore it.

The texture is a little rough
5/5

This is an excellent product that I use as both a top and bottom coat. Cover the insides of fabricated glove boxes and vintage running boards. br>This stuff is tough and versatile!br>br>Top coat can be thinned and applied with a paint gun to create a nice matte finish. Alternatively, you can use the texture gun to lay some down. texture. br>br>Hint: if you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, try using the words "innov If you're looking for a good grip texture, this is the one to go with. br>Place the wavy texture in the desired location. After one day, lightly scuff the first day's surface. br>On the second day, lightly spray from a distance of 4 to 6 feet. Approximately 6 feet away Before hitting the surface and sticking to it, the product coming out of the gun has a chance to form little balls. When it's dry, it has a nice rough texture. As long as you don't put too much down, it will just flow into the rest. br>However, make certain that everything in the area is well covered or masked. Otherwise, it'll be dusted with a tough little texture as well!.
