It came in a single package with two battery post "washers" (a total of two washers) when I purchased it. I was dissatisfied because I could get the same product for a lower price almost anywhere in town. If you can't get to a Walmart, you shouldn't buy this. O'reilly is a fictional character who appears in the film O'reilly. - Autozone or a store like it At the price I paid, it's way overpriced.
My order was all black as of May 13, 2021 (three boxes, each with two washers). There are no washers in the colors red or green. Black is the only color available. Thank you very much.
No, I don't believe so if all they have are black pads.
It's already oiled, so you can start using it right away. So far, it appears to be working. It's been a few months now.

AGM batteries are something I strongly believe in. Lead acid isn't cutting it any longer, but I'm also on a budget. All of my main vehicles have large stereos and Northstar batteries, so I only have to buy once and cry once. Then there's the red-and-black-and-white-and-blue- With a Costco lead acid battery, it's a headed stepchild commuter car that doesn't get driven nearly as much as it used to. The thought of the terminals becoming corroded bothered me. I attempted to purchase CRC Batter Cleaner and Protective Coating but was unsuccessful. It was great at making a mess, but not so much at preventing corrosion. To cut a long story short, my battery's costco warranty was about to expire, and it was barely holding a charge, so I went to amazon to order some of these protectors, expecting to be ripped off for about $5 for something that would have cost $1 at NAPA/Autozone. I was pleasantly surprised by how inexpensive they were, so I purchased a large quantity. hot damn. That's a deal for me because I'm a bargain hunter. br>When the package arrives, I replace the old battery with a new one and install the protectors. After 6 months, there is no evidence of corrosion. A br>I was cleaning off my workbench and discovered eight packages of these things, which I had no idea what to do with. Christmas, or maybe some ear rings for the wife (just kidding), is just around the corner.
These have so far proven to be effective. The main goal is to raise the terminals just enough to keep them from coming into contact with any acid that may have leaked from the vents. Corrosion is brought about by this acid. Other pads had simply absorbed the acid, but corrosion remained. That hasn't yet been accomplished with these. If they eventually do, it will be determined by a longer evaluation. Another advantage is that they can be adjusted to fit various post sizes. They come in the standard automotive size, but you can remove a small ring of material to use them with larger posts in other industrial applications.
I believe it should be self-evident that you will receive two pads to protect one battery; however, I believe the name "2 pack" is a little misleading; I was expecting to receive four pads. Why would they even mention a two-pack, other than to confuse the customer, pretty much sums it up; why would you ever buy just one PAD!.
Unless you use these Anti-Corrosion Batteries, all battery posts and terminals will corrode sooner or later. Corrosion washers or some other type of protection is recommended. I like washer-style corrosion protection because it protects against corrosion without the need for additional treatments after installation. Instead of the old heavy duty lead terminals that came from the factory, most vehicles now have really thin metal type terminals, and it doesn't take much corrosion to eat through these new style thin metal terminals. The cost of replacing these newer terminals is usually higher than that of replacing older lead terminals.
These appear to be of better quality than the generic type found in most auto parts stores. They're a little thicker and have a lot of oil on them. Unfortunately, I tested them on a Nissan dealer brand battery, which appears to have unusually short and tapered battery posts. When you put the felt ring on the post, there isn't quite enough room to fully connect and tighten the Nissan battery connectors. As a result, I won't be able to use them on my Nissan. They'd most likely fit in my other cars, which have larger battery posts.
March 2019 update: Although this is still a great product, the price has tripled since I last purchased these a few years ago! I'll be looking for alternatives because this product is overpriced at more than ten dollars! Original review: br>br> I've always used the RED/GREEN felt protectors that you get when you buy a new battery at the auto store. I'd also pick up a small packet of Vaseline-like gel to coat the terminals. Well - The world has evolved. These protectors, as well as the NOCO red spray, are both light-weight. Years ahead of my previous corrosion-prevention methods. This is how it should be done - There will be no turning around. These are effective!.
I deduct one star because the article photo depicts two black colors, but I only received one green and one red. My terminals have now taken on the appearance of Christmas ornaments.
- The date is April 10, 2021. br>I bought it for another car, and both of them are now black. It performs admirably.
They carry out their duties; On each of my vehicles' batteries, I no longer see the buildup that I used to see every few months. They are appealing to me.
