Is this something that would work on a cast iron burner and stay black?

No, I do not believe that is true. I wouldn't buy it in a million years. In my trunk, which was painted with this, there is rust coming through. It's done after 7 months of protection.

What is the severity of the odor, and how can it be remedied?

It has the same smell as regular spray paint and cures by allowing it to dry like spray paint. I discovered that removing as much rust as possible is the best way to go.

Is this safe to use on a stove grate, and how hot can it get?

Unlikely to be a stove grate. A product with a rating of around 350. Clean the grate with a wire brush every now and then, and apply a light coat of good cooking grease to seal the porous cast iron. Do not use soap and water to clean the grate because it will rust.

Is it possible to apply this to platinum?

This can be used in addition to the Platinum.

This was a lot of fun to use because it was simple to set up and see the results of. br>I put this on some rusted axles and it worked great. I could immediately tell that this product was working after I applied it. You are not required to top coat, but you may do so if you wish. I went with a paint finish on the axles. Wow! They appear to be fantastic!.

I used this on the frame of a 20-year-old truck, and it went on smoothly and evenly. I can't say how well it will hold up over time; we'll have to wait and see. Before applying, make sure the area is well ventilated and that any loose rust is removed as much as possible.

After cleaning and wiping down the surface rust with spirits, I completely covered a piece of steal with this, but the rust reappeared days later. Simply type por15 into the search bar.

It's a good product, but it's a bit pricey in terms of quantity

The hose curled, causing some difficulty and a lot of spray in some spots. It worked much better after I changed how I attached the hose to a stick. It dries quickly, especially if you use the recommended multiple coats.

The propellant in the new can was extremely low

I only got about a quarter of the way through the can before the propellant ran out. Maybe it was just a bad can, but it's still a lot of money to waste a nearly full can.
