It's not going to happen. I would recommend coating the exterior facing with 2 maybe 4 if you are doing just the exterior. I COULD NOT GET HANDY WITH THIS, BUT WHEN I DID I LOOK SHARP. Be sure to prepare your materials A light sanding process is required. Clean it up with acetone and lay down a big tarp, or some paper or sheet with a big hole in the middle. This overspray is sticky and will not come off if it gets on anything. It looks brand new after I painted my whole truck, and I also used the bottles and sprayer gun.
In my opinion, bare metal is the only time it's necessary.
There is a nice shiney pebbled texture left behind. Depending on the surface, you may want to double coat it as directed on a surface susceptible to wear and tear. Once every bottle is finished, clean your gun (if you are using it) thoroughly with acetone.

I'm very happy. I used two cans of this paint and two coats to coat the bottom body panels of my Chevy Avalanche. I was very pleased with the final result. Despite my expectations, the outcome was much better than I had hoped.
Having sanded all of it down and tried this stuff so far, it is holding up very well. It is cheaper on Amazon than at the local paint shop, but I needed 2 cans and the paint shop wanted double what I paid on Amazon.

Make sure there is nothing more you want to do than what you have planned.
