Questions & Answers
Only if it's just surface rust, but there's not much you can do if your rockers start to bubble.
Nope, just paint right over the rust, it's that easy!
I used this for rust in my wheel wells where I didn't need any more sanding. This product encapsulates the rust and seals it, preventing it from spreading. For body panels, I recommend completely removing the rusted metal and patching it with new metal or body filler. I'm sure the directions on the website will provide you with all the application details you'll need.
It would look good either way if it was very thin.

Because it doesn't require a topcoat, I recently switched from a competitor to this product. UV protection is included. I'm really pleased with how this covers, and it appears to do a good job of seeping into crevices to reach hard-to-reach areas that a brush can't reach. It has a stronger scent to it, which I don't mind. Because some of the solids settle to the bottom, it's important to mix it before each use (as the can specifies). I've gone through three cans of this so far and plan to keep using it.
You might even be able to spray it instead of using a roller or brush.
Although the paint is thin and runny, it coats extremely well. It appears to dry quickly and create a nice thick coat. Warm honey is the best description I can come up with. So far, I'm very pleased. I'm doing two coats because I discovered areas where the first coat had missed. I used a brush, and the brush marks are visible. I put it to the test while installing new press in bushings, and it appears to be very durable. I am extremely pleased.
The product's lid had been removed. When it arrived, the bag had been sprayed with spray paint. Because the box was not damaged, it must have occurred during the packaging of the item. This item cannot be returned due to its flammability. It was a complete waste of money because the can is no longer functional.
Not at all what I had anticipated. Rustoleum, in my opinion, is a superior product. It's black after a couple of coats, but it still looks like rust that has been painted over. It would be a shame to leave the finish unfinished. To improve the appearance, I painted over it.
If it's still good in a year, I'll give it another star. I used it on my jeep cherokee's roof, which was starting to rust, and roughed up the roof/paint with a 4. An angle grinder with a 5" scotch brite wheel. Then I used a 6" roller brush to apply the paint. In our high humidity, it applied easily and dried quickly. The only drawback was the manner in which it was delivered. I couldn't read the instructions because there was paint all over the can. Instead of the standard box and puffy bags, Amazon should've sent it in a sealed bag or something else.
I bought this paint for my truck's wheelwells, and so far it's been great. It's held up well during a New Jersey winter, and it's easy to apply with the right prep.
While the bed was off, I stripped this 97 GMC frame down to bare metal. It was easy to apply after cleaning with acetone, but the coverage was poor. I chose AGS based on the reviews, which I now regret. While I finished welding on the bed, I left the truck outside for two days. The frame had been coated and dried, and these photos were taken after a brief downpour. br>br>Instead, get POR15, which I wish I had done.
