Questions & Answers

Is it necessary to let it set for a while? Does it have the ability to be used right away?

The softness of the set makes it pretty much ready to go on its own There is no information on how long before use the can should be left. This device was mounted on a garden hose and was used right away without any problem.

Is it safe to use this on a kitchen sink faucet that is dripping?

You can use this on a kitchen faucet that has a threaded connection. Using teflon tape wound twice around the male connection threads, on the other hand, would be easier. As its name suggests, Gasoila is best when an area of your house or office has gas or oil connections (Hence the name). Teflon would dissolve in such areas.

Could this be used as a seal for pipe fittings for a gas range?

Why not? I don't see any reason Last year, I used it to seal the pipe fittings on my gas furnace. I'm still alive and well, thank you.

One of the best pipe dopes I have A change was required to about 40 feet of natural gas line
5/5

About twelve fittings were involved. While I have some experience with gas, I would prefer to avoid it as much as possible. I was unable to do so in this case. Several years later I had to take apart the joints because they had cracks and I had to use pipe dope to seal the cracks. In order to prepare myself for dismantling the gas fittings, sealed with that hard dope, the day before I begin I go through my dictionary of 4 letter words to make sure I don't miss any I might need. I just made them up this time since I needed a few extras. In any case, let's get straight I have never used a sealant as good as Gasoila. From the time that the fitting is tightened to the time that the gas is turned on, there is no waiting time. After about a day, this stuff hardens up a bit, but can still be scraped with your finger because it stays soft. 3 years from now I will not have to break my back breaking the seal if I need to remove a fitting. In fact, I called the company in Cleveland to ask them some questions when I was using this stuff. A guy with a british accent connected me to him, and we had a nice conversation. I was given a lot of information by him and he spent a lot of time with me. Aside from potable water lines, I discovered that the product could also be used for heating It's time to get rid of that Teflon The laundry tub sink trap that was leaking did not leak after I applied the remedy. You can clean your hands off with soap and water once this smelly stuff dries. It smells nasty until it dries and is messy until it dries. had some on my shirt, but it didn't wash out in the wash.

The sealant is great
5/5

These are the kinds of tools professionals use. I learned about these things in plumbing forums. It was my pleasure to build and install a high-quality whole-house system A copper union and threaded fittings were being used in my house water filter, and I was concerned they As this seals tight, it can be disassembled in the future if necessary. The promise of no leak was kept. Now that I understand why plumbers swear by it, I'll be using it from now on. This stuff is awesome. I've been using it for most of my plumbing, and it has been working perfectly. Since I started using it, I have never experienced a leak. I like it.

It is a great pipe sealant
4/5

It is time for Amazon Prime to improve its shipping. A great product that can be used for sealing natural gas pipes, like in my case, LPG pipes. forms an airtight seal between the male and female threads after staying on the threads for a long time. There is no doubt that it will be pliable for a long time. It seems that Amazon Prime has a lot of negative aspects these days, but the only thing I can find negative is one that seems very common among the service. Despite numerous attempts to deliver on time, the delivery was again delayed.

Sealing threaded fuel oil connections is no problem with this stuff
5/5

To make my truck more fuel efficient, I put in an auxiliary fuel tank. For the threaded shutoff valve assembly I did a great deal of research on what to use to seal it as I did not want to leak fuel. The reviews I read convinced me that I should get it. I have found this stuff to be reliable and effective.

The tape has no significant advantage over TEFLON tape The thought occurs to me
3/5

I think this product might be useful sometimes if it's used with Teflon tape in tough situations, but on its own, I think it's not much better than the use of tape alone. The other thing that really bothered me about the product for the somewhat premium price was that I had to squeeze the tube nearly 1/4 up from the bottom to get some product to come out! I suppose it is tricky to determine if I was short on two ounces. It's a bit on the pricey side for the promised contents, but I thought it was worth mentioning for the somewhat hefty price!.

The material is not too thick nor too thin, and is As part of plumbing work on a new shower, I connected it with PEX pipe
4/5

I used this sealant to affix threaded nipples between the PEX pipe and the shower valve, as well as the valve to the wand and overhead spray. I have so far had no problems.

This product has no leaks and I recommend it highly
5/5

Several of my colleagues have remarked that it's an impressive and simple to use tool. When you apply it with the cap, it's just the right thickness Several brushes. You will not have to clean up any dripping or mess if you wear gloves. Worked 100% of the time. Additionally, it offers a superior alternative to tape, and I didn't need to use tape in my case. We failed to find leaks after using only tape for several tries.

There is a lot of difficulty in using this stuff
3/5

There will be a mess to clean up. There is a lot of runny sealer and it's difficult to get enough sealer on the threads without it dripping. You need to let it sit overnight to prevent it from being flushed out of the threads in the morning when applying pressure (gasoline). The instructions are very basic and there is no explanation of how to do this. There is nothing I can recommend about.
