In one of my cases I had a customer bring in a micro fridge he tried to defrost which had wounds in the coil so large that he could stick a ball point pen tip into it. Once I cleaned off the oil found in the refrigerant and on the paint, heated the evap coil, melted it on, and then pressure tested it with nitrogen at 150 psi, it held, and held for days. After vacuuming it, we charged it up again. The customer was extremely happy with the quality of the work and it worked well. You should not hesitate to ask for this from anyone that needs it. You will be glad you did! The unit allows me to save an evaporator that has suffered a puncture.

In the evaporator area of the comfortmaker ac system, a leak was repaired on a small copper tube. My system was pumped to a vacuum and held there for a period of about 10 minutes after I applied epoxy. I evaluated the epoxy repair after adding some freon to 150psi and checking it for bubbles. I have filled the system with the proper levels and everything has gone well so far. I will give you an update once we've had some time to figure it out.
