Questions & Answers

When the putty has been mixed, what is its consistency? Does it have a thick coating? Is it running? What about etc?

Runny at first, it gets thicker after a while. This occurs as a result of the exothermic reaction. It is best to stir it about 20 minutes to get it to a consistency that is a little thicker than toothpaste. After about 45 minutes, it starts to thicken to a point where it is hard By the end of the 10th Within 15 minutes, it is almost too runny to apply vertically (you have to work the product extremely hard to avoid it flowing). In my opinion, about 15-45 minutes is the perfect amount of time for a movie After initial mixing, allow 45 minutes for the mixture to cool. If you are unsure how to use it, start with small matches. If more is needed after the first application has been cured, you can always add it later.

It seals cracks in utensils so it can be used to cook with?

The oil seals cracks on engines, I know this. Due to the heat and pressure engines produce, utensils would be able to withstand it. I would, however, HIGHLY recommend against using this product for eating or food production, since it is used for the production of food. Whenever I experience a problem with my kitchen utensils, dishes, or stand mixer attachments, I replace them.

Almost anything can be fixed with it
5/5

Several years ago, an oil leak from a hole in the bottom of the crankcase started leaking from a 20 year old Kawasaki Bayou. Alumbond had to be put on every one. Nobody could weld or repair the thing, so I had to put some in each one. It took me about five minutes to do this after draining the oil, rotating the wheeler at a 45 degree angle, scrubbing the hole with rubbing alcohol, then applying a 1/4 inch thick glob of Alumbond. I rode 75 miles over the Bayou in the Utah mountains the next day without a single drop of oil on my clothes. I've fixed it. But I was not done yet, I had a grease gun that had a reputation for breaking zirt fittings. In the mower deck of my John Deere, two fittings were stripped. seem to be in like new condition. My potato gun is now capable of lighting a fire with a new barbecue lighter, which is a real find. I spilled a couple of drops of this stuff on the floor of my garage and it dried overnight. Then with a putty knife and hammer, I chipped off the shingles, one of which snapped and broke off a piece of concrete. Don't let disappointment get the best of you.

The cracked rim has been repaired
5/5

Using this stuff, I repaired a small crack on the inside lip of my car's rim. It took me about four hours to reinstall the tire after I drilled the crack to stop it. I applied Alumbond to the crack and let it dry for four hours, then I sanded the area smooth and reinstalled it. As of today, everything appears to be working and has held up for about a month without any problems.

Getting aluminum cast back into shape
5/5

It is tougher than a woodpecker's lips, and this stuff does not fool around. One of the crank cases on my 4 wheeler had a hole in the bottom. This hole is about 1/4 inch wide. All the oil was drained, the area was cleaned thoroughly with alcohol, and the grinding wheel was used to roughen it up. Once it had dried for about 4 hours, I sanded the aluminum bond and put on a second, wider coat. Overnight, you should let it sit. I say, walla! I bought the four wheeler for a good price because of the problem, and now I'm all The leak hasn't taken place It has been two days since I last checked in. It is possible for it to change after I post, should it not then assume it worked properly.

What was supposed to be done was accomplished
5/5

This product was bought after I was let down by JB. During my RZR maintenance, I found the door frame to be cracked. My best guess was that it looked like equal portions squeezed onto a piece of cardboard . I then found a clean piece of trim that had been broken. After mixing up the solution for a moment, it became clear that it was working. As directed, step 3 should be followed. There's a slight runny quality to the epoxy, but you won't notice it. The flow would be aided by gravity if you needed it to go into a space. You won't have to worry about the oil pouring out. With the broken stick, I then applied it to the cracked area to seal it. It is smeared around the crack and other areas to cover them. A bit later I checked it again, after the kids were gone for a bit. In the early morning light you could see a partial outline because the solution made its way into the cracks. Five hours later the same solution was mixed again in the same order and spread on the cracks. Leave it to sit for the Yesterday I went out to the site and checked it out. A solid that has been dried. My door slammed ten times in a row as I opened it. I did not have any problems with the solution and the door held up well. Please let me know if there is a problem.

Cast aluminum repairs are made easy with this kit
5/5

Cast aluminum can usually be repaired with this stuff pretty well. We had it used to repair a cast aluminum radiator tank on a 1922 Mack, which had corroded, and it also had some bolt flanges where the bolts have come loose. There was no problem rebuilding the flanges and they were redrilled for bolts with the good adhesion. If you file and drill it after it has set over night, you will be able to use It may be expensive, but it does the job.

I was extremely pleased with this aluminum bonding agent
5/5

It worked After weighing out the two parts on an electronic scale (in grams), stirring the mixture with a popsicle stick for 3 minutes, we used it within 60 minutes After stirring the emulsion for 3 minutes, I applied it to fill holes that I drilled in vertical parts of an aluminum driveway gate. The texture was a bit runny immediately after stirring, but I loved the color and it worked well for my purpose. If I had waited until the 60s were winding down, I would have had more time to think about it Use no more than - When I came back after the curing period of four, it was hardened, but I wasn't clear how quickly it would harden at that point, so I just waited five more minutes before coming back. It took about five hours, and the larger holes had to be filled a second time. This seems to be a very strong poison. It consists of As a result of sanding, the product is smooth, shiny, and a medium gray. This product is of excellent quality and I would use it again if necessary.

This is some serious power! My KIA Soul had a broken bolt hole at the engine mount
5/5

That required this part to be rebuilt. During the one hour setup time, you will likely have to wait a few minutes to get a bit of body - only thing I can suggest is to be prepared. Mix it fresh and it is so runny that it is like I used this to glue the portion of the bolt hole that has fallen off the engine casting back on. br>If you check after a month, it still holds.
