It would make a good differential cover, in my opinion. For a Cummins 5 engine, I used it as a front timing cover. My 1995 Dodge PU runs on 9 liters of gas. This worked great for me. I used a small amount so as not to squeeze any excess into the engine. Over a year after that, it's still a work in progress. This is what you need!
As for the caulking gun, yes, I used it
A 1/8" bead should be placed along the longer edges and a 1/4" bead along the short, half moon Install bolts at an angle of 18 ft/lbs in staggered patterns. When applying RTV to the pan, it is best to do it upside down with the engine out of the truck to prevent contamination by oil. I installed four 8mm X 1 studs as a temporary measure. It takes about three minutes to install the pan after the sealant is applied, to ensure maximum adhesion in the new pan. There are 25 guide studs to assist you in mounting the pan. 24 hours should be enough to cure the paint. The seal job loses its lifespan if it is done in any other way.
In fact, it is the same as what the Ford Dealerships use.

All of this stuff is required for building a complete vehicle. I used this to seal the flashing around our house's foundation nearly 20 years ago, and it has remained as tough as nails in spite of exposure to sun, rain, and snow. The Ford Powerstroke oil pans and differential covers are sealed by this type of gasket without any gasket from the factory. After removing all the bolts, you still have to remove the covers by prying them.
I love this stuff. There is no way to remove it with acetone. A pinhole on the bottom of the fuel tank caused diesel fuel to drip from the tank. After smearing the RTV along the bottom, especially since there was a significant amount of fuel and dirt in the tank, the sealant stuck to it, stopped the leak, and cured it. I will have to wait until I can get a new tank installed until it is possible. I was able to get by with one tube to cover my 7-year-old. It is powered by a 3. 5-liter engine. It took me all of my effort to get the oil pan, intake plenums, and fuel tank repaired, and I still have a little left.
There is no better RTV than this. If you've never used it before, you are truly missing out! Your money won't go to waste with this stuff. Since I have been using it for years, it has become a part of my routine. You will need to re-seal the surface after it's been cleaned and dried. You should beware Taking the parts out of this has become a bit of a chore once they are fully cured.
Two are more than enough to cover the oil pan and to seal one in a half plenum. I am glad I purchased two. It would be best to order a few extra seals if you are resealing the timing cover, oil pan, and plenums.
This worked great! I had an oil pan leak on my 2015 Ford Edge Sport. I read the forums, and I saw someone had used It is still covered by the factory warranty so I took it to the dealer. The new oil pan they provided is coated with this RTV, and I have not seen any resistance to it. I printed out a copy of the page on the forum.
Gaskets made with this stuff are great for 99% of As for me, I rarely order pre-formed gaskets when I have this stuff on hand. It says Ford, but I've used it on a whole host of different things over the years.
The price is a little high, but we don't use it much. As if it were something fierce, it sticks.
That's something I didn't know I did, how about you? The beads work perfectly with just a single one.
