Radiator and Fuel Tank repair work performed by Permatex. After drying for 24 hours on my radiator, I put it away. Neither a leak nor a leaky pipe. I'm going to have a permanent repair done shortly but so far, it's been working fine.
The plastic radiator was not worked on for more than seven days. As a result of sanding, cleaning, and rolling as instructed, the surface is smooth. From the heat of the radiator, it never got hard enough and melted. Tanks of fuel could be a better fit.
It is an excellent product. It is very easy Make sure you wear gloves when you use it.
After cleaning and removing all paint from the area, sanding the metal into a clean surface, cleaning with alcohol, mixing epoxy into a uniform gray color, pressing into hole per instructions, etc, let it cure Within minutes of the pressure in the tank being generated, the tank began to leak. Your money will not be wasted. You will need to have it repaired at a radiator.
When I first tried it on my son's Wrangler's plastic radiator, it did not seem to work I let it cure for 3 hours, but it didn't cure. My first thought was that because it was epoxy, some extra heat could help so I heated it every 10 minutes or so with a hair dryer set on high in the garage. The wait took another hour plus or minus However, the condition was already fully cured by then. The vehicle held up on the 6 mile trip to the radiator shop where I received a new radiator, so I was able to accomplish what I needed.
