You don't need a sealer if your coolant isn't leaking.
This is only a band-aid solution. It's best to take your car to a mechanic and have it repaired if it's leaking a lot. This product is effective, but it is best used for minor leaks. Use as a radiator.
Thank you for your time. Thank you for contacting Bar's Leaks and for considering us to assist you with your automotive needs. You're inquiring about a product. Radiator Stop Leak 2x Concentrate (part number 1194) by Bar's Leaks - is meant to be mixed with the existing coolant or water in your radiator. If the coolant level is low, simply pour the product into a cold radiator and fill the radiator and overflow tank to the proper level. NOTE: Before using a cooling system that is dirty or partially clogged, it should be flushed. We recommend running a chemical cooling system flush product through your cooling system if you haven't done so in the last three to four years. There was a lot of fluid all over the place. Although the hose was replaced, there was still white smoke coming from the exhaust and a loss of power. This was added, and there was no more smoke in no time. Since so much fluid was sucked into the engine, we're still working on regaining power, but things are looking up! I drove at 110 mph without incident the other day - It only took a little longer to get there, but the leak is no longer there! This is something I strongly suggest you do.
My water pump's seal had been broken, so I poured it in to stop the leak. For my Porsche Boxster, it didn't work out. I ended up having to replace the water pump as well as the seal. Expect nothing out of the ordinary.
My Jimmy's radiator was busted, and he was missing one of his front teeth. It was not worth the money to fix it for $2,000. This product helped to stop it, but it isn't a long-term solution and will eventually wear out. It's ideal for transporting it home or to a store. It's no problem to travel 100 miles. However, it will eventually fail (especially if the leak is large).
This was purchased to seal a coolant crossover tube on a Honda Pilot for the time being. It wasn't a bad leak. Every two days, maybe a quart of coolant. br>br>For the next 24 hours, the leak was sealed. After a few trips back and forth to work, the leak started up again. But it gets even worse.
I had a small seeping leak in my heater core that was fixed in one treatment and my truck is now running cooler as well.
It does a good job of sealing holes the size of your heater core. So, how do you get it out without having to replace the core?.
It is not helping to change the spark plugs and coils. I was told that I needed to replace the gasket, which would cost a few thousand dollars. I decided to try this first, and it's been great; I've already logged over 10,000 miles since then. The engine is still working well.
My car had a small leak that I couldn't see. I flushed the system completely and made sure there was no air left in it. I haven't had any issues with my car since I started using it. br>br>I believe that an air bubble in the system is the primary cause of clogged radiators/heater cores. When the stop leak comes into contact with an air bubble, it hardens and acts like a leak. If you're going to use this product, make sure you've properly bled the air out.
