These items are extremely effective. GM/Cadillac is one of my favorite brands. They have a proclivity to overheat as they get older. Coolant leakage is to be expected from time to time. There was still leakage after replacing the radiators, hoses, and other components. In a 2002 Deville and a 2005 Deville, I applied a bottle of Bar's Leak 1109 Block Seal Liquid Copper. Both are running cooler [due to the lack of coolant leaks], and the Coolant Overflow Reservoirs are still at full capacity. Bar's products have been a part of my life for more than 40 years. years. They are the most effective - top notch the efficiency This Liquid Copper Cooling System Stop-Wait is one of the best products I've ever used. Treatment of a Leak.
Mechanic, I bid you farewell. This is incredible stuff! On my Dodge 5, I've got a warped head (or two). 7 hemi. For a full head job, the shop demanded $2,000 per side. I didn't have that kind of money, so I made a "hail mary" attempt and bought this stuff. After that, I realized I hadn't followed the instructions to the letter, but it still worked for over 2,000 miles before a leak appeared. This time, by golly, we followed the directions to the letter, and it's been about 4 years and 40,000 miles! Mr. Mechanic, I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. This is something I'll use on a regular basis.
After flushing my cooling system, I poured the entire bottle into my radiator. The leak improved at first, but there was still a small leak. I put some coolant mix in the reservoir and checked it at the next fill-up. The leak had completely stopped, and the level of the reservoir had remained constant. I drove from Arizona to Alaska and back without leaking a single drop of gas!.
When I buy it from a store in my hometown, the product is excellent; however, there is one thing I must say loudly: Amazon! Is this for real? How can something like this be allowed to leave a so-called "safe" environment? In this situation, is it appropriate to refer to a professional store by the name of Company Outlet? First, I opened my mailbox and saw my package, which was torn, so I'm driving to Fred Meyers with an overheating engine in need of the bars leak that I ordered from Amazon. Fortunately, I was on my way to a store that sells the same product because when I arrived, my engine overheated, forcing me to open the package from Amazon that I had just received today containing the Bars Leak, as shown in photos (1) and (2). I opened my mailbox and found my package torn, and then I opened the package from Amazon and found a big mess with the bottle cap halfway off. Come on, Amazon, isn't it like some kid is putting this thing together? But wait, as shown in photo 3, things get even better. When I remove the cap, there is a real tear in the seal, as if someone purposefully partially pulled back the seal with their fingers and then tried to hide their misdeeds by quickly putting the lid back on and sticking it into the box for shipping, perhaps hiding from the supervisor and quickly getting it shipped out pretending like nothing was wrong. Who knows, right? I'm not sure what I'm supposed to think here, Amazon. I expect those who are editing these reviews before posting them to take action to notify the higher command authorities because you either need cameras constantly monitoring those who are packing and shipping or you need to do a drug test to see who's on drugs or just see who's working there without thinking straight and keeping a cool head because receiving a product in this matter is totally unacceptable and I'm thinking in my mind what if, just what if? , some kid was assisting his father in opening an Amazon package while he was in the kitchen preparing some food (for example), and suppose that while the dad is in the kitchen, the kid opens a package like this and damages his skin and eyes to the point where he has to be taken to the hospital, possibly going blind from this product because People, this is a product that goes in the radiator of a car engine! And something like this being shipped in this matter cannot be taken lightly! I'd like to ask everyone reading this review to give me a thumbs up if they agree with me that Amazon needs to improve because I'm telling you that because of this, I'm going to limit my Amazon shopping experience. This item will be returned without a doubt! Again, don't be afraid to buy this product because it's an excellent product that helped my engine stop overheating and now it's running smoothly thanks to this product called "Bars Leak," and you can trust them when they say it's Guaranteed on the bottle. PS: I have no idea what "warmth" or "stretch" on the star rating mean, but I can't seem to post this review without selecting one.
In my 2002 Ford Explorer, I had to add 4 quarts of coolant to the system. 0 L engine once or twice a week, and this product completely eliminated the leak. I had to use two bottles, but I've been driving it for about two months and the leak hasn't returned. This was significantly less expensive than purchasing a new radiator, and it has performed admirably thus far. It also had no negative impact on the heater in my car.
Installed easily, but hasn't been in the system long enough to update, so I'll wait until I drive for a while. update 4/20 This has been in the system for a few weeks now and I must say it's lived up to the Bars Leak reputation, totally cracked Head and it's sealing it, The entire bottle was put in as it was either make or break at this point, so it has been holding for the past few weeks! I also forgot to take out the thermostat, but as I previously stated, it's make or break time! Exceptional.
A few months later, I noticed a coolant leak coming from the back of the engine near the exhaust manifold, which is of course a blow head gasket! After a very expensive repair for my wagon, I came across this product, which I couldn't believe would work, but IT DID! My leak is probably not so bad that the product did its job; it's been a month and the coolant level is still at a good level! I would recommend this product for minor leaks!.
My 97 GMC truck had an intake seal that was leaking coolant in increasing amounts, forcing me to either spend a lot of money on repairs or try this. It worked in some way. I was losing 1 right before I used this as directed. On one leg of my commute (approximately 35 miles), I used up to 5 gallons of fluid. The leak stopped about 15 minutes after I used this product. So far, I've driven about 150 miles without seeing a drop of coolant. I can't speak for the long run, but the problem has been solved for the time being!.
