Questions & Answers

Is it possible to use this as a gasket in place of a real Can you use an example of how oil gets on the clutch cover?

As a gasket replacement tool, it works great. To make sure the surfaces are flat, make sure they're absolutely Though this stuff is very good, it is quite It would also be a good idea to let it skin for a bit before following the instructions. The cure must be allowed to take place for a day before filling with oil, and that goes for all kinds of oil used

Are 1211 and automatic transmission fluids bad for each other?

In my opinion, not very often, never used in the engine, very good for the transmission

Can you specify if this is for a tube or a case?

A tube of toothpaste. While I did my entire transmission, I still had a lot left over. It's been over a year since the leaks started, and none have appeared since then. You are doing great work.

How long does it take for this product to set?

This process requires a set amount of time but is comparable to caulking at the same

You are doing great work
5/5

Approximately every 2000 miles, the cam shims on my 1978 Kawasaki KZ1000 A2 required inspection by a motorcycle shop that repaired it. This motor had a hotrod motor installed and it needed to be serviced thoroughly every 2000 miles. A new gasket did not seem to do the trick. The valve cover had to be removed, KZ 1000 engines have always had valve cover leaks! Using this product is super easy, simply apply it very lightly to the gasket, and the leak will be sealed until it is taken apart again. You really need to try it! This is a great way of taking off the gasket most of the time without it sticking to the part it seals! My differential covers on my Jeep are now protected with it. It is important to remember that a light coating is best for this product! Let me know if this was helpful to someone!.

I think this sealant is the best This is a very good read
5/5

My BMW engine rebuilt after it was sprayed with this sealant and I did not use any BMW sealant despite BMW's advice. In light of how bad their engines leak oil, I think most of them do not have much room for discussion. For about a year following the rebuild, I didn't have a drop of oil leak out. ***Tip *** The surfaces need to be thoroughly cleaned with acetone or something similar. Once you have applied the first coat, apply the next very thinly. It is possible to spread a nice even coat using a small paintbrush. The lotion should not be slathered on thick. As thin as you can make it is what you need. It is also recommended to let the area sit a few days before making any type of use. The stuff does not dry as quickly as I would have liked, but that was the least of my worries.

This seals metal to metal and works well with gaskets too! I love this sealant the most! Silecone has a greater thickness than Aviation Permetex, while wet-application Permetex has a higher application ease
5/5

As far as I'm concerned, it seals my VR engine cases and gaskets better than any other sealant I've Yamabond is exactly what we used to have, but they don't make it any longer. I have used it on metal to metal and gasket to metal deals with no problems.

For sealing 2 stroke cases, I have found this to be the best
5/5

I have tried four different product flavors for sealing 2 stroke cases over the years, and this is by far the best of them, more so than the three bond flavors I have tried before.

5/5

It was a little expensive, but a great product. When the three bonds are pressed together, they seem to expand within a few minutes. This seal is awesome!.
