Questions & Answers

I have no idea what this stuff smells like, but does it ?

As someone who smells all kinds of things, that's a good question since I haven't smelled it yet

If the cutting compound is used, is there a haze left over? If the final polish is applied, how much is left over?

The compound I have is not intended for cutting. There is nothing special about the 36 except it is Has no haze, but does not evaporate

Is it possible to remove yellow spray paint with these products?

Since these are not strong rubbing compounds, I would not recommend them. If you want to try their butter wax product line, I would suggest that. It is said that clay bars and taking off spray paint will work on over sprayed surfaces

We do V36/V38 compounding and polishing for the chem guys
3/5

This is something I've been doing for a long time. Since I am not a professional, but I do know how to wash paint and I've tried all sorts of You aren't getting anything for your money with this. Does not 'work' well and is difficult to remove. Applied smoothly, but does not 'work' well and is difficult to remove. It's hard to praise Mequires products, but the Mequires compound and polish finish work faster, smoother, and easier than this particular Chemical Guys product, as well as having more depth and gloss for half as much. It is possible that their other products work, but this product The polisher is a Griot's RO. The product worked a bit better when I switched pads (both new brands), but it was still difficult to use.

A quick and easy process does not actually exist as CG portrays it
3/5

It looks easy and quick to get scratches out of a car when The Chemical Guys show how to do it. It's not as easy or quick as you might think. Despite the fact that both polishes worked fairly well, it took quite a bit of polishing to see results, and when the wax wears off it is still possible to tell the difference between untouched clearcoat and polished clearcoat. Whenever I wash the car, I prep the areas I have to polish and I try a little more each time, but had I known how much polishing it would take to remove 3000 grid sanding marks, I would have been more diligent about minimizing this area. This is also due to their overselling of their product - I think you should not oversell what you are selling. This certainly wasn't the outcome that I hoped for, since I had hoped for great results with minimal effort. It is likely that they would have received an extra star if they hadn't oversold their products. The HexLogic pads I used on my DA polisher in combination with the Chemical Guys' pads are recommended by them.

It will be worth it if you take your time using it
5/5

This is an easy to use tool, so take your time with it. The first thing I did was thoroughly wash the car and then use a clay bar treatment before wiping it down with 70% IPA alcohol to remove all of the chalky oxidized material. My first step came with v36, which I gently buff. My next step was v38, which I again go over with clean microfiber cloth. My final step was to apply a coat of sealer, and I was happy with how my car looked. As a result, the car stays cleaner as well.

It's astonishing how well these results turned out
5/5

Meguires have been my go-to product and I have had great results, but look Pictures are worth a thousand words, so they say. It's up to you to decide. I got to work on some clay parts in the morning and finished them by afternoon. I apologize I didn't take a picture before but it was really bad. Prior to my ownership, the premises had been neglected for 13 years.

Remember, I did use an offset DA with proper.

You've got a great polish! The products I've tried so far are all great so far from Chemical Guys and I can't wait to try their other products
5/5

In fact, the V36 and V38 contributed to the look of my car that was better than new! My doubts about the effectiveness of these compounds were dispelled when I tried them against Meguires Ultimate polish. A Chemical Guys V36 can be seen on the left side A can of Meguire's Ultimate varnish can be seen on the right side of V38. My Meguires polish wasn't able to remove the scratches without a cutting compound, but it took a little more than what the polish could do. The deep Ruby Red in my MKZ can be seen quite easily just by applying Chemical Guys V-Max to it You should polish the lines of your hair.

A polisher for action)
4/5

Use the V36 with the TORQX dual action polisher to really enhance the appearance of clear coat. That's not the case with the V38. A guy tells you in CG's video to shake it before using, but the product is viscous, and shaking the bottle does not make a lot of difference. You may want to leave the bottle upside-down about halfway when applying it to your entire body so that it is easier to extrude contents and you won't have to squeeze In spite of the fact that I used a dual action polisher for the first time, it worked very well followed by muscle pain in both arms, shoulders, and back A hand.

You can't talk about results without mentioning It was almost obligated for me to write a review
5/5

I do not typically write reviews, but after using this stuff, I absolutely loved it. This 18-year-old pickup truck was recently purchased by me. A huge amount of oxidation had been built up on the back half of it over the last 18 years. A portion of the front portion had been repainted, although the previous owner did not have it repainted completely. I found the 36 and 38 Kit from Chemical Guys online after doing some reading, reading some reviews, and watching a few tutorials. My initial method was to do this by hand, but I soon switched to a random orbital with different thicknesses of It was applied with 36 to cut down the oxidation, followed by 38 at a later time to make it shine and then sealed with some carnauba based wax. It goes without saying that I am very pleased with the results, as you can see You're right, that is the.

Combining the two is fantastic
5/5

Combining the two is fantastic. If you are going to use compounds and polishers of varying grades, these are the only two you will Both are used to polish the surface, one for swirls and scratches and the other for the finish. A layer of sealant or wax should be applied next. You will feel better after ending your miserable ordeal of buying all sorts of chemicals becoming an exponential problem when it becomes increasingly more difficult to cope when you make yourself miserable. Despite leaving a very small residue, these compounds are easy to apply. You will be amazed at the final result after you tape off the trims and sand them down.
