I believe it is equally effective. I used to use the ultimate detailer, but switched because of the significant cost savings.
Claying with Last Touch is a breeze. Start with a "clean and dry" surface by washing the car as usual. Apply the clay next, followed by your favorite paint protectant wax or polish. It's something I've used a lot for just that purpose. Spray Last Touch liberally on the paint surface and lightly rub with the clay bar, turning the clay as it removes impurities from the paint.
The D155 is the standard jug number for gallon and 5-gallon jugs. The gallon jug is model D15501. Vic
Yes, it can be used to finish a waxed car. But this isn't a wax substitute. On the manufacturer's website, you can learn more about the product.
Selected User Reviews For Meguiar's D15501 Last Touch Spray Detailer, 1 Gallon
This is about as good as it gets for the price (less than half the price of the two best spray detailers I normally use in a gallon size). Because I applied Sonax Polymer Netshield to my car and don't want anything to affect the sealant's incredible hydrophobic properties, I decided to forego the more expensive options in favor of getting a detailer that doesn't contain carnauba or sealant. br>br>I put it to the test on glass in direct sunlight and it came up streak-free. Just like glass cleaner, it's completely free. For me, that was adequate. However, it also has a snow cone mix scent to it. What about a Pina Colada? I'm not sure what it's called, but it smells incredible. It's also a lot pinker than the product image suggests. However, there is one potential disadvantage - It doesn't leave as slick a finish as some of the higher-end products. There are a lot of high-end detailers around. But that's fine with me because it means it won't leave anything on my car that will obstruct the sealant's far superior beading properties. It reminds me a lot of Meguiar's Mirror Bright Detail Spray, which is another one of my favorite off-the-shelf detailing products.
I'm not sure if this stuff is affected by the cold (55°-65°F). It's easy to buff/wipe off at 65°, but it's not easy at all to remove. Regular microfiber towels couldn't handle it and left streaks; drying microfiber towels performed slightly better but still left streaks. Waffle- The only type of microfiber towel that seemed to want to work for me was weave. br>br>I also don't recommend using it as a lubricant for clay bars. It's hard to put into words, but it simply lacks the fluidity of Maguiar's or Mother's dedicated clay bar lubricants. br>br>It's most likely ideal for in-home use. I'm not overly impressed in between wash cleanings, but overall I'm not impressed. It has a pleasant odor.
Someone mentioned it to me on a detailing forum. This gallon is a fantastic deal. When compared to the 6-figure figure, Mother's or Meguiar's Quick Detailer costs $8 for a 16 oz bottle. There are eight 16-ounce bottles of Last Touch in this case. At 6- This saves you over half the price of a 16oz bottle and is a much better product; I used it to Clay Bar my cars prior to detailing and it's fantastic. Keeps the clay lubricated and produces excellent results. My Lexus is Obsidian black, which reflects everything and necessitates a great deal of maintenance. I keep a bottle of this in the trunk with a microfiber towel in case there's any bird poop or anything else that shouldn't be sitting on the paint for too long. I've used it to remove water spots that I didn't get to quickly enough after a wash, and it worked perfectly. It adds depth and a nice shine to a quick touchup, and you can tell it keeps your towel well lubricated across the surface so there are no swirls.
In place of Meguiar's Ultimate Quick Detailer, this is what I use. The results are indistinguishable between the two products, and this one is far less expensive; I've even diluted on the advice of another detailer. This is ideal for clay lubricant, wax prep, and general cleaning. dry. Although it won't give you the same long-lasting shine as a professional polish and wax, it will protect your car from contaminants while drying and enhance the shine after a regular wash.
I bought this because I needed a clay lubricant quickly (I had a big job the next day) and I'm not impressed. I started by spraying a 2x2 foot area with this and then starting to clay. First and foremost, I discovered that my claybar was not slick. It got stuck on the paint a couple of times. (This isn't old clay, and I shook the bottle. ) It's fine for a final wipe, but it's not for claying. Finishkare slick and shine is what I prefer to use; I've been using it for 15 years and it's fantastic. However, the cost has increased. It appears that I will be required to pay a higher price. I was forced to do something I didn't want to do. If you're going to use it as a finishing spray, go ahead and do so. It performs admirably in this regard.
br>I've used the products for years, everything from the detailer to the wax to the tire shine and interior cleaners. I've become addicted to ceramic spray in recent months. Using that every time I want to clean the jeep is a little pricey. So, with that said, I decided to give it a shot because of the low price; I figured I had nothing to lose, and the price was right! br>I've used it twice this week and can confidently say it's fantastic; it goes on smoothly and cleans up quickly and thoroughly! I was blown away by it. br>I would say that unless you have a relatively well-maintained vehicle, I don't expect this to work wonders. br>It does exactly what it claims to do. I'm not sure why there were some negative reviews because as someone who keeps their car clean all of the time, this is a no-brainer! The price is excellent!br>I'll be ordering two more gallons soon! 😄.
It doesn't appear to be powerful enough to cut through everyday dirt and grime. I have to go over it again to get rid of the streaks, and even then, it doesn't have a clear shine. I know this is a quick detailer, but I've tried a lot of them, and this is by far the worst. I recently used a bottle of Armor All, and I believe it was superior. I'd go to Mothers or, if you want to go a step further, Griot's Garage. This is not a good idea.
Swirl marks are caused by this. Swirl marks were still visible after using high-quality mf towels on cool, shaded paint. I'm glad I put together a practice panel.
