Questions & Answers

Is it suitable for use on a white automobile? Is it safe to use on paint that hasn't been sprayed with a clear ?

Collinite 845 is the best wax, polish, and sealant for white cars. Nothing comes close to the competition. Anyone who claims otherwise has either never used 845 or is biased. For the past 30 years, I've worked as a car detailer. Nothing compares to this stuff in terms of effectiveness. It also has the best sheeting of any wax, polish, or sealant I've tried. This stuff is the best at repelling water. In comparison to other products, the beads are TINY. There's simply nothing better than white on white. Later on, you'll be grateful.

Is it okay to use on my Honda Accord's clear plastic headlights?

I've waxed my headlights with collonite since they were new, and it protects them from UV rays in the same way that paint does. My headlights are now 7 years old (2012 G37, which have a tendency to yellow) and they still look brand new. It serves as an excellent headlight protector. My automobile is not kept in a garage.

I wash my car at least once a week, and this appears to give me 2- What do you think it will take for the beading to get worse in 3 months?

Each application lasts 6 months for me, but in Colorado, they use magnesium chloride for winter driving, which is extremely harsh on automobiles. Nothing compares to Collinite in terms of effectiveness.

Do you think this would be useful for buffing out extra-fine scratches?

ONLY if you intend to follow the proper protocol for removing fine scratches, which entails 'claying' a vehicle and then completing the rest of the detail procedure, which entails several steps. If you just want to skip all of those steps, Meguiars 2 is the way to go. 0 scratch remover, followed by Collinite 845 as a final wax. That, however, is not the way to go about it. The Scratch 2 filler washed out after a few washes. Applying Collinite will be in vain because 0 will come off. Unfortunately, if you're serious about removing 'fine scratches,' or any scratches for that matter, you'll need to follow the proper detailing steps to permanently remove the scratches from the surface. Sorry, but I'm afraid I won't be able to deceive you just to make you feel better. br>Collinite 845 is fantastic when used correctly after completing all of the necessary steps in the detailing process. Detailing products, as well as waxes, are effective when used properly.

THE BEST WAX I'VE EVER USED
5/5

Let me begin by saying that I've been detailing cars since the age of sixteen. This was how I made money during my high school years. After that, I worked as a deputy sheriff for 12 years before becoming a pastor for the past 27 years. Despite the fact that I am now retired, I continue to detail automobiles. I'd tried a variety of waxes before coming across Collunite wax on Amazon. The proof is in the pudding, and I must say that this is the best wax I've ever used. To put it to the test, we recently purchased a KIA Sorento for our son that had not been garaged; I said, "Well, let's see," because the paint had faded, and lo and behold, Compounding is not necessary. There is no need to wax beforehand. Without the use of a clay bar, my son and I were astounded by the results, which had a show-room shine. Don't get me wrong, chemical guys, but this is by far the best wax available. Needless to say, it looked like wet paint when I installed it in my wife's new BMW. A little bit goes a long way, by the way. Luke, a quarter-size drop on your applicator will cover your entire car's hood. This wax has my seal of approval! I start waxing poetic
5/5

I doubt I'll ever come across a wax that shines as brightly as thee. It was on my car, my jeep, that I used it. The luster is intense, but this isn't a cheap item. I heated it according to the instructions to make it easier on my bended elbow. I waited a quarter hour and then yanked it off with a small amount of force. And at the very end, I reach out and pull, only to discover that the bottle is nearly empty. I'll wax again in six months because the paints are like ice under a skater's feet.

Excellent shine and protection
5/5

This is not for the faint of heart. To begin with, this product will have a consistency of at room temperature. I'm not sure what I'm talking about. caulk? It's pasty to the point of oblivion. Don't be alarmed if it arrives in that direction; It's not broken, and I don't believe it comes with a nozzle or cap. So either place an order for one or grab one from a bottle of Chemical Guys product that has been sitting on your shelf for the past two years. br>br> Place it in a cup and soak it in hot water for 5 minutes before using it, or place it in the sun. br>Then shake it as if you've never shaken anything before. Shake it vigorously. br>After that, take a towel and squeeze any remaining product from the nozzle. br>br>To your applicator pad, apply 2 to 3 pea-sized dots. This product is best used sparingly; DO NOT OVERAPPLY. TRYING TO REMOVE IT WILL CAUSE YOU A LOT OF HURTS. You should be fine as long as you have some waxing and sealing experience. It should go without saying, but some nice, high-gsm, clean microfibers will also help a lot. br>br>At the end of the day, this product delivers outstanding results that last a long time. This is what I like to use on top of wolfgang paint sealant. If you follow these instructions, you should have a good experience with this product. SHINE ON! Collinite 845 Lives Up To Its Name! This is the first time I've purchased Collinite 845
5/5

Mothers Liquid Carnuba Wax is what I use most of the time. Collinite 845 wax is my favorite! Applying and removing it was a breeze for me. Especially in comparison to Mothers Liquid Carnuba, which was more difficult to apply and remove. As others have mentioned, the trick to using 845 is to warm up the container in warm water before applying it. The wax becomes thinner and easier to work with as a result. After removing the surface contaminants on the paint with a Speedy Surface Prep - Clear, I apply Collinite 845 as a final protective coat. Mat of Fine Grade. (an excellent product)br>br>After that, I apply a coat of Chemical Guys Black Light Hybrid Radiant Finish Enhancer, which is another excellent product that is simple to use. Finally, I applied two coats of Collinite 845 to give it a protective coating, applying a thin layer and allowing it to dry for about two minutes before buffing it off with a microfiber towel. This stuff causes water to bead up nicely. I'm sold. Keeping it away from the plastic trim is all that is required. br>br>I've included some of our Dodge 1500's favorites. Hyundai Sonata (white paint makes it more difficult to tell) - Collinite 845 Wax was used to finish off the hood of our 2001 Chevy Suburban.

Keep your ears open
5/5

What can be said that hasn't already been said about this stuff? It just works! I've had my bottle for a long time and it still works as well as it did when I first got it. Remember that with 845, paint prep is the key to a great finish and long-lasting protection. You will be dissatisfied if you do not at least clay bar your car or motorcycle. Would you take a shower if you didn't have any soap? How do you brush your teeth without toothpaste? It all comes down to preparation and application. Also, don't forget to warm up your bottle and give it a good shake! br>br>On a side note, you might want to look elsewhere if you want your paint to pop while using this stuff. While the protection is unrivaled, it does not, in my opinion, provide a deep, wet shine, so I recommend using 845 as a topper over Meguiar's NXT 2. 0 or Blackfire Wet Diamond are the two options. On an Apex Silver Lancer Evo X, I'd say it gives off a soft glow rather than a deep shine on its own. br>br>Make a secure purchase!.

I'm not sure why I didn't do it sooner
5/5

Amazing. It's simple to use, and it gets the job done. This has a good reputation, according to what I've heard. Yes, it is. br> Before using, warm the product by placing it in a warm / hot water bowl or in the sun until it completely liquifies, and then shake it well. I used a microfiber applicator block, which I primed before using. Apply as thinly as possible and in small sections at a time, wiping with a clean microfiber towel before it dries or you'll have to work it out; if you apply it and remove it a few seconds later, this is a simple process; just don't let it dry or your arms will be kicking themselves by the end. Because a little goes a long way, you'll only need a small amount of product. There's no need to layer or overapply because there's no benefit to doing so. This will make the paint on your car super slick and soft, just like a baby's bottom. It will dry quickly after your next wash, and there will be little water resistance. It's a breeze to dry your clothes. I'm very pleased with this product, which I've used in two vehicles so far. Awesome!.
