I am redoing a 5 piece It had been exposed to Florida summers for decades, so it had been in dire need of some TLC. One bottle of this combination brightener and cleaner and one bottle of the Premium Gold oil have been purchased. Due to the lack of both bottles, I had to quit before I could complete the set, so if you have a larger project, you might consider buying the bigger bottles On the left are untouched boards, on the middle are cleaners and brighteners, on the right of these are two coats of Premium Gold oil. It may or may not be necessary for everyone to apply two coats of oil, but mine did very definitely. For the scrub, I used a stiff bristle brush (as well as a mesh scrubber in some spots). My wooden brush is worn out, so I recommend this method for cleaning it. It takes more time but it's not as rough on the wood as the other method. It is a long process, but it is definitely worth it at.
As a regular teak cleaner, I used a mixture of Dawn soap and vinegar for cleaning my furniture, and it worked pretty well, but since I intended to apply a sealer to my furniture, I decided to buy a commercial teak cleaner. Even when I followed directions to the letter, my homemade mixture works better than this product. As I will be able to dispose of the second bottle, I wish I had bought only one bottle. It received many positive reviews, so I decided to purchase it. My first reaction was to look at the reviews again after purchasing the product and saw that very few of them had been verified.

If you don't clean your furniture in a shaded area, the wooden material will dry out and become more difficult to maintain. Several years have gone by since I cleaned my teak patio set (probably never). I had no idea it was that dirty. Now it looks a lot better!.
After scrubbing away the black, the surface becomes nice and smooth. In spite of that (and keep in mind that I have a bad rotator cuff myself), you do need to use a little elbow grease to scrub. As a result, I'm satisfied with the product for the most part. This was my first time to clean teak so I had no idea what to expect. I'm not sure if there's anything better that could be done. There are probably only a few people who need to be stronger than me!.
After buying a teak table last season, the table looked horribly worn out in less than a year. My Starbright oil package arrived today, and I'm sure it's going to make a difference even more!.
I am amazed at how well this works! In only a few hours, my teak outdoor patio set looked nearly brand new after it had been exposed to the elements for a year. However, you should use old clothing when using it as it will bleach the hell out of it. You won't want to get it on yourself and ruin a brand new shirt when using it, so wear old clothes.

For the first time, I have used a cleaner on my outdoor furniture that I have owned for more than Even though I have cleaned it with soap and water previously, I decided to use this since it was very dirty and difficult to clean. I noticed that this stuff immediately started cleaning when I applied it. You need to put on gloves, and the smell is strong, but the product is great. It is a good product, but if you want something less toxic, you might want to choose another.
I have outdoor teak tiles that I purchased two years ago and have not cleaned. This product is very effective. Those ugly grays had replaced their original color. It took me an hour to scrub the floors after I had applied the cleaner and left it on for a few minutes. As if the dirt layers were melting away, they just disappeared. its color is not as vivid as new, it's still close to being brand new. As you can see, the tiles on top are the old ones that I cleaned, while the ones on the bottom are brand new ones.
