It is an acid-based cleaner and I have tried a similar product in the past. The first time I tried it, it seemed particularly weak. As for its cleaning, it lacked effectiveness. As I applied it to some tarnished aluminum car parts, it bubbled up a little but after waiting for it to dry and washing it off, I couldn't really see an improvement.
When used with a blue non scratch scotch brite pad, this stuff dissolved the oxidization quickly. As I read some of the reviews, I didn't expect such good results.
Product of high quality.
I had a very good experience cleaning my aluminum flatbed. It became dirt free after I mixed it 50/50 and it also removed oxidation.
However, it isn't able to get all the dirt out like they claim.
My surprise when I used this product was that it did exactly what it was supposed to. I was able to take off all the years of lake scum oxidation and make the boat appear lighter. Be sure to wear rubber gloves and protective eyewear since this is an acid.
I have bought products like this in the past to make my tool boxes look almost new, and this one made mine look like milk, which is great on stainless steel, but not perfect on.
