Questions & Answers

Do you think you can use it on wood furniture?

Of course, especially if it's smoothed out. I've used them for more than 20 years, so they generally only need a light polish from time to time. They have a light coating on them, which wouldn't be heavy enough to streak it anyway, and I have never seen any damage due to it. The first time I use a duster with this will be on my car, and I will use it on my boat, then on my glass and furniture as it nears the end of its life. I like the product as long as I shake the heavy dust out of it after every use and do not

Which cleaning method should I use?

You DO NOT need to clean it doing so will remove the wax. It just needs to be shook out after every use. As you use it, you'll notice that it improves.

Is anyone experiencing paint scratching as a result of this?

Without a doubt. I have had one for over a decade and for the past few months I have noticed that the swirls are getting bigger I do the same thing to the hood of my 1965 Mustang every morning, and I leave a pattern, which may or may not indicate that my wife dropped the car. They get better with use until they begin to pick up abrasives from the pavement. If the finish is worn out, I suggest monitoring it and replacing it as necessary. I plan on spending around 200 bucks on detailing as a result of not doing it.

The product I am using can be washed?

A good friend of mine has had hers for about five As of recently, it began leaving some dust particles, so I searched for information on how to wash it. After washing it in Woolite, a great deal of dirt came out, so I had to rewash it Then I washed it until it was My garage was too hot for the blanket to dry on its own within a few days. However, it is still leaving some dirty spots, so I am going to buy a new There aren't that many of them.

I don't know what to think about this
3/5

I am not sure why all the great reviews are there. It is hard for me to believe that people use this thing and like Following the instructions to the letter was no problem for me. The directions state that it should be left out of its carrying case and on newspaper for a few days to help some of the wax As a result, I did it. Wow. I couldn't believe how much wax was spread around. The newspaper that it sat on was saturated with wax, so I was forced to replace it every day. It is literally possible to twist the newspaper and the wax would drip out. Still, I figured, OK, whatever, it's drying out just the way they want it. After that, it states that the waxy residue will remain on the car for a few days during the first few uses. It seems they were right in this case. There was nothing good about it. After I used it, I left a thick layer of wax all over the car. Then I had to rub my entire car with a microfiber cloth again to ensure all of the stupid wax had been removed. Although already warned about this in the instructions, I had no problem with the change. There is one problem with this product I've used it at least five or six times now and the car still leaves a lot of wax residue. Furthermore, waxy residue is leaving behind some kind of lint that sticks and adheres to it (which interferes with the removal of wax). Although I would love to get this working, the only thing that is happening is just adding more work to my plate. The duster leaves a mess behind, so not only do I have to clean up the dust, but now I have to clean up the mess the duster made. Trying to clean my house with my swiffer duster perhaps would be more effective than using my wife's disposables. This is all I have to say. The good news is that it was pretty cheap (about $10 bucks with free shipping), so returning it isn't really worth it. I am very disappointed in this. It is no surprise that so many reviews are full of hype for this game.

The event went above and beyond my expectations

I love the way this works! Many of these genuine branded California Car Dusters have been in my possession over the years and I have loved all of them! It was a relief to find out they had not changed since I placed my order. As soon as I received it, I was pleasantly surprised! Several reviewers have said that there was too much wax in the duster, and that red particles were left In fact, neither of these issues turned up for me. In fact, I was prepared to let it air out on a bed of paper towels, but after the first night, there was no wax accumulating on the towel, so I decided to go for it anyway. The dust from my truck after being in my carport in California during the (heavy) fire season was very heavy. As a result, the dust was also coated with ash and soot. I am very pleased with how well the duster performed. The peeling removed the ugly layer that had built up and left no streaks or red particles behind. The dusters I use greatly extend the time between car washes and allow me to feel good about driving my vehicle again after using them! There is one thing to note, however even though I ordered the duster with the lightweight plastic handle because I prefer it, I received one with a heavy wooden It wasn't a problem in my case because I had a plastic handle left over from my old duster that I simply swapped This duster is for sale. Invest in it, and you won't be sorry! It is my sincere hope that the information presented here helped you in making your purchasing.

There is no longer as good of a selection as before! I would like to start by telling you that all of these products are Three of them have been in my possession since the mid 1990s

Both my autos were white with mother of pearl trim, and black with a black top. My home is in the northeast, which is plagued by pollen. It has been a while since I have noticed that the enclosure that the duster comes in is thinner, and that the duster itself is While the first two did a great job, the last one pretty much failed to live up to the standard. The red fibers stuck to every inch of my vehicle after I used it. I had to get my car washed afterwards. Bees wax is also added along with the melted In the last few years, quality has greatly declined. A big whoop for you! Feel free to leave a comment if you want to find out how I solved this problem.

I really like it
5/5

My 1995 Ford F250 pickup has been swabbed with a California dust mop three times. In the previous models, the handles were made of wood. It is easier to use and lighter because it has a plastic handle. The old model and this one do not seem to differ from each other. All it takes is a quick dusting to make your vehicle look like it is Obviously, if your paint is in good condition, then that's true. During a visit to my brother who lives outside Susanville, Ca, I once made the trip over the Sierra Nevada Mountains. I dusted my truck quickly when I arrived, and my brother said it looked like a brand new vehicle. This product never scratched the finish of the paint job and never left a red residue as others claim. There might be an issue with the type of wax you are using. The Nu Finish software I use is In combination with the Dust Mop, I am extremely pleased with how my truck looks for its age (not unlike A dust over would not be appreciated by my wife, of course.

The product is great, but there is a very Despite their advertisements, these things are great for dusting your car and they do, as advertised, get better as they age

My car has had one for over a decade and lately I have noticed that there are a lot of swirl-related problems I do the same thing to the hood of my 1965 Mustang every morning, and I leave a pattern, which may or may not indicate that my wife dropped the car. They get better with use until they begin to pick up abrasives from the pavement. If the finish is worn out, I suggest monitoring it and replacing it as necessary. I plan on spending around 200 bucks on detailing as a result of not doing it. In addition, it doesn't work to wash it, because it would remove the wax that makes the thing so unique. It is still a considerable cost savings to have one of these done every couple of years rather than to hire a professional detailer.

I can't wait to use it on my My old duster was one of these and it took so much time to clean I enjoyed it very much
5/5

Our move unfortunately resulted in losing the item. We're as happy with the new duster as we were with the old one. As soon as it was unpacked, it cleared the dust, pollen, and lint from the house The work done on my Jaguar left it There are no lint or waxy streaks to worry about. There seemed to be a need for a break in it- I had no expectations that it would be so good, but no. It has a lot of power to tackle pollen, but the duster is up to the job. My friend and I attended a car show recently and it was great It's hard to keep track of how many people use Duster at a time. Normally, I am very particular about what touches my car. However, the Duster is highly effective in removing dust and debris That leaves it looking as if the car has been.
