I've noticed that the handle's wood isn't as smooth as it once was. The handle is not very long.

It allows me to scrub without having to bend over. Love it! This brush appealed to me initially because it was not overly bulky. It appeared to be just the right size for me to get around without too much difficulty. This works perfectly for me, even though I am an older woman. I needed a simple brush to wash my car, but I ended up using it to clean my tubs and shower walls as well. I own a number of rental homes. My friend who was assisting me asked where I got it because she wanted one as I was using it to clean tubs and showers at the rental house. I placed an order for one as a present, and it will arrive today! It's a strange gift to give, but it's extremely useful and saves your back. I like the solid wood, the handle feels good in my hand, and the head size is just right. I also like the oval shape. I use tilex on the shower walls and then this brush, rinsing it thoroughly afterward to remove all chemicals from the bristles so it lasts. I'm thinking about getting a second one just in case they run out. That's how much I adore it!.
Although the bristles were not as stiff as I had hoped, it still works perfectly. I like it because the bristle head is smaller than others I've seen in stores, so it fits in the tub better.
My bathtub doesn't need the stiff bristles. I can't get the handle all the way into the brush head, so soft bristles would have been fine. When I scrub, the threads show a little, but it's still sturdy.
Deck brush of excellent quality. This is a great deal when compared to West Marine's exorbitant prices for shurhold products. The brush and handle set is well-made and has a long-lasting finish.
For my tile, I chose soft because I expected some bristles to fray due to the fact that I was using it on tile rather than a hard surface. Still happy with it; it was well worth the money, and I'll buy it again when this one wears out.
Based on some of the customer reviews, I purchased a soft bristle scrub brush for the bathroom and floors. If you're looking for something to put on your floors, avoid the soft. For floors, the soft is almost useless. It would be ideal for a car rather than for floors.
This deck brush is fantastic. I had a hard time figuring out the brush's stiffness - It's "soft," but it's still stiff enough to clean the deck of my boat without damaging the gelcoat. Some people complained about bristle shedding, but I didn't have that problem.
The only drawback is the short length of the handle. The description was very accurate. We can't comment on durability because we've only had it for a few weeks of our boating season.
