I have no problems with mine. Be sure that you do not have one of those tapered buckets, otherwise you won't be able to get it The item would not fit in the dark blue Lowe's bucket or the grey Lowe's bucket I have. A car washing tool is the only item required for washing a car. Take advantage of this! For those of you who are very particular about their car's cleanliness, you might need two of these. You can use one for rinsing your bucket and one for storing your wash.

The Blue Grit Guard came highly recommended by a few detailers, so I picked it up as well. To prevent grit from getting on my wash mitt, they recommended I put a grit guard on every bucket I use to wash my car. As I looked at the photos, I was concerned that it was a cheap and flimsy piece of plastic that was too much of a waste of money. My first impression was that they were made of an extremely sturdy and thick plastic that is sure to last. I have no video evidence that the grit guard captures grit and keeps it from swirling back up upon my mitt, but I trust it does what it is supposed to do. The 2 bucket method is what I use, and I put a Grit Guard in both the suds bucket and the *Make sure you keep in mind that not all 5 gallon buckets are the same. There are some Grit Guard models that are fitted tightly, while there are others that are loose. When I am dipping my mitt in a bucket, I like it if it fits snugly to prevent my mitt pulling grit up the sides. Detailers trust the Grit Guard and I trust them as well. This item does negatively impact its value due to the shipping cost, so you may wish to pick up multiples to balance out the price.

I tried two different brands of 5 gallon buckets, but they don't It was too big for a 5 gallon bucket that I had from Lowe's

I went to tractor supply and bought one of their 5 gallon buckets, same result, did not It seems to me that these buckets have some type In about 3/4 of the way, the grit guard gets rid of the dirt. As a result, I had to trim the outside ring off the guard to make sure it was at.

A bucket of grit guards is not just for washing cars, but also for washing bikes and other vehicles
5/5

It helps keep dirt and debris from having to come in contact with your wash mitt or rag, which could scratch As a result, they will sink to the bottom of the bucket, not float.

The program works well
5/5

There is no need to fill a large bucket with grit, as this Grit Guard fits in a standard Home Depot bucket. Not only do I use it to prevent dirt from getting into the wash cloth, but also as a drying rack after washing the car. There is nothing fancy about it, but it works as intended. This is worth the money if you want to prevent even one scratch on your car since it will cost you a whole lot more to touch up the scratch.

You're the best

Honesty be damned, I bought an expensive washbucket "system" from another manufacturer, returned it within weeks for a variety of reasons, and then found this. You don't always get what you pay for when you spend Taking the lesson to heart! Simply place the guard on the front of a 5 gallon bucket to make it perfect for washing. In addition to the obvious benefits of washing, there are several other benefits. Using it yielded a bonus, but I also found a second bonus. The guard keeps the wash mitts off the bottom of the bucket when you have finished washing them. When you put everything in your bucket to store it, the guard holds the wash mits up above the bottom. This allows the mits to dry faster and prevents mustiness. As well, this model has two finger holes in the middle so you can easily pick it out and dump the contents without having to empty the bucket completely. There are some models that do not have this feature, so it is important to point out. All it takes is a little consideration!.

This is a great product for cleaning your My bucket gets grit guard when I use it

Ideally, it should fit inside the big buckets you find at your local home improvement Unlike a bucket, it cannot be put inside. As long as the debris stays at the bottom of the bucket, it works.

Plastic is the "dream material" for auto detailers
4/5

The product would be a great recommendation for anyone wanting to maintain the finish on their vehicle to the extent possible. The feeling of this product being so sturdy actually surprised me upon receiving it. At first, I was concerned this would be a problem, as there are other fake brands on the market that make products of a lower Having rated this five stars if the material were actually taller, I would have given it a six. In most cases, that will be sufficient unless you have an extremely dirty It is likely that I will order yet another one, as another reviewer said, just as a general insurance policy, as well as to ensure that I always have one.
