What is the outside diameter (OD) of the tube that connects to the 360-degree tip?

I'm not sure what you're getting at, but the tube is 4 inches in diameter. 5mm O. A fluid tip fits inside the tube's end, and a push button/nozzle attaches to an aerosol bottle on the 3M tube. To attach this 3M product to the aerosol bottle, it must have a male nipple.

Is there a way to keep these from clogging between uses because of the 3M wax, or is there another way to keep them from clogging?

Thank you for contacting us with your inquiry! Invert the aerosol can and spray until the liquid has cleared the wand and nozzle, then wipe away any excess and return to the storage package.

Is a rustoleum spray can suitable for this?

Hi Matt! Thank you for reaching out to us with your query. No; The 3M 08851 Cavity Wax Plus 1 Pack Applicator Wand Kit is meant to be used with the 3M 08852 Cavity Wax Plus (which is sold separately). Each wand has a built-in actuator that attaches to the Cavity Wax Plus spray can.

Is this the applicator for the wax or the wand? The photo depicts wax, but the description refers to a wand kit. ?

The wand kit is included in this package. Their photos have been swapped.

It's time to have some fun, or it's time to keep the rust at bay

With a little tweaking, it should work on other cans as well. Female spray tops are featured on these. Simply remove the tube and replace it with another tube from a different can, such as Eastwood internal coating, and voila.

There is no provision for undercoat guns; only a spray can is available

These are extension requests for a low-cost spray can, not an actual undercoating gun. To me, it is ineffective.

It's simple to use and gets into all of the vehicle's crevices. Although the 3M system is expensive for what it is, it works well and does not stink like other systems. Would suggest.

It works well and gets into hard-to-reach areas like quarter panels and doors. If you want to do a good job, you'll need 3M applicator wands.
