My offroad travels just included a 120-mile two-way trip On the Texas Padre Island National Seashore, there is a road that takes you along a beach. There is an off-road version of my Tacoma TRD Offroad This is a truck for the road. The trailers we pulled for this trip were as follows Starcraft is our off-line game Pop-ups on the road Up ahead of that kayak sailboat is a Hobie Mirage 2. It's true, Texas is actually a legal state for double towing. We've participated on sand before, but with two trailers, all the water, beer and rum (did I mention we're sailors? stretched very thin. In some instances, the load was simply too heavy, and the sand was soft and deeply compacted. It is therefore a great pleasure to have our trusty BIGTUR Off-road as a backup vehicle Traffic traction boards used for road recovery. A shovel, rake and bucket with five gallons of water are always in the van when traversing the beach. With out the BIGTUR boards, however, I'm not sure we could have stayed clear while keeping our camper and Hobie connected. Getting out of here required clearing all sand from the tires and underbelly of the truck, as well as the tires on A total of five times we got stuck and three times we used BIGTUR.
