The picture may be the problem- There is a darker brown color to it
The satin is very soft and is used as bridal satin. There is some body to it thanks to the monofilament edge, but it will not be a bow as you could form it out from a wired ribbon.
I think it is more teal in colour
The blue ribbon I bought is mine. I was sure it would lie flat and be shiny.

I found exactly what I was looking for here. In addition to the color matching what I expected, the width of the ribbon was also not wired. If that is what you want, then this is not the ribbon for you. My project required just 4 yards, so this provided me with enough to cover my There is a very nice touch of yellow to the edging, and it is clean and neat. There was no mat that would fit a unique piece of art. I used this ribbon to create an edging around an art print from Prince Edward Island. As it says, it is what it An award of excellence. It is difficult to find anything to complain about in this case. Due to a craft project, I needed a thinner ribbon for a craft, but I didn't want to shell out an extra buck for it. In this case, I split the ribbon lengthwise. A glue was used to fuse the edge to prevent fraying and it worked well. This is just a ribbon, it's nothing complicated.
My son made a graduation lei out of it, and it turned out great! The color is vibrant and the quality is wonderful.
