I order a lot of rolls, and they always arrive smashed, so this was ideal and simple to use! With this, I made a wraparound. It was also simple to weed the garden.
Once I figured out how to use it, I was completely enthralled. It's very easy to weed if you cut it twice or three times.
I really like this vinyl, but keep in mind that it is commercial vinyl, which means it is thicker. If you have a Cricut, you'll need to adjust the settings to make it easier to weed. To make changes, open your project, click the three lines in the top right corner, select Manage Material Settings, and then select the material you want to change. You can adjust the pressure and the number of times it cuts to suit your needs, then save. If you're ready to make the design, I've included a video showing another way to get to the same settings.
I was out of white, and I usually get all of my Siser Easyweed vinyl from Heat Press Nation, but I despise the fact that their rolls are only available in 10" or 15" widths, whereas my silhouette cameo requires 12" rolls. After reading other reviews, I decided to give this vinyl a try. br>br>First and foremost, I want to say that it must be thicker than Siser Easyweed because, like another HTV I purchased off Amazon, I had to increase my cutting force from the normal setting of 4 to 6 in order to get clean cuts. Initially, I cut this vinyl on 5, and it didn't cut through and was extremely difficult to weed and see the cuts. I recut the same piece at force 6, and it was much better, but I squandered the first piece The uncut image is loaded first, followed by the cut image, which displays "Unload" on the LED screen. Is it possible to tell which one is which? I couldn't say the same. It's also difficult to tell which side of the roll contains the adhesive backing and which contains the HTV. Even with a super bright LED and magnification, you can't tell by touching it or looking at it. Place the light on the side of the vinyl and look at it from a different angle. You will never be able to see the cuts if you look directly down at the vinyl. br>br>DO NOT UNSPOOL or cut it without marking which side is the adhesive carrier backing, or you will never know which side is the vinyl side. This roll comes with the adhesive backing on the outside of the roll, as do most rolls. The red vinyl in the apron photo is from Siser Easyweed, while the white and black vinyls are from Amazon. br>br>Each application was heat pressed for 15 seconds at 305 degrees Fahrenheit. The white and black vinyl are slightly thicker than the red, but the difference is noticeable. br>br>Overall, I think the vinyl quality is excellent and transfers well, but the weeding difficulty may be enough of a headache for you to stick with Siser Easyweed.
It was a good value for the money and it worked well.
It comes in a very sturdy box, which I like. For the amount of vinyl you get, this is a great deal.
It appeals to me. I'll be placing another order soon. Good vinyl for a reasonable price.
This vinyl was fantastic for weeding because it was so simple.
