Excellent craftsmanship. These were extremely successful. Color and consistency are both excellent. They didn't have a lot of shedding. The black was what I requested. br>br>As I worked with these, my fingers became black. It washes off easily, but be careful not to leave marks on other items. Gloves should be worn. My nails were the worst part. I had a mechanic's appearance to me. I use a lot of them (for example, 20). 30 yards), so there's no need to be concerned if you're working on a quick project. br>br>I've heard of people complaining about glue clogging up their sewing machines. That's what it does. My solution was to attach them to a wide black ribbon with fabric glue. I then sewed them to the ribbon with a needle and thread. This method completely eliminates the use of glue.
I was thinking about getting a feathered skirt and harness for here, and it was going to cost me around $50 - $60. If they had any sizes that would have fit me, it would have cost $60. So I found this and cut out pieces to attach to my bra straps and corset bottom. It worked flawlessly, and I still have plenty left over for future projects. Always shop around first, and I think the quality is good for costume use because I only lost one feather the entire day while walking around and doing things at the renaissance festival.
The feathers are of good quality, and they are securely fastened to the trim. They were, however, significantly shorter than I had anticipated. They were about 10cm in length, not 13cm, on average. and none of them grew to the advertised 18-centimeter length. I intend to continue using them, but I will not purchase them again. I included a photo of them next to fuller, longer feathers I purchased from a different source.
For me, it worked perfectly. This was the basis for my Halloween costume as a Voodoo doctor. It gave my haphazardly put-together costume a lot more credibility. It was a little sensitive to handling, and a few feathers would fall out. To stack them, I had to use some glue. br>BUT THIS WAS EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR. This is a good buy for costume and temporary purposes for outings or projects!.
I simply cut the trim into four pieces and hot glued them together in layers, then added a piece of ribbon to both ends to make it easy to put on and take off without having to stitch it to my clothes. Some feathers fell out, but I used them to make a small head ornament (I just stuck them in my pulled-back hair).
This was fantastic! Thick! Only issue with the black is that it rubs off on your hands when you work with it. br>br>Perfectbr>br>Only issue with the black is that it rubs off on your hands when you work with it. There is, however, a catch. After you've finished working, spray your hair with hairspray to keep it from getting on your skin when you're wearing whatever you've created!.
The feathers are gathered onto a silk ribbon, which I adore. Sewing was a breeze. I sewed them on to clothing and a hat by hand. The feathers stayed in place all night and didn't shed much! I also have plenty of material left over for future projects.
I went to a different store and ordered another "hackle" and. These are exactly how they appear in the photo. I had a great time. I ordered another "hackle" from a different location, and it was incomparable. These were by far the best. The color and size were both pleasing to me.
