Because I bought this to complete a pattern (cross stitch), I had to purchase a needle. Metallics are not for me! I have tried them in the past and did not like them. I found this tool to be easy to use and simple to thread the needle with. Despite laying flat and not fraying, it did not fray at all. It was initially stitched with Thread Heaven because I was concerned about it fraying, but I stitched without it in the end because it The thread I used to work it left over after I stitched about 10 Algerian Eye stitches with it.
On Amazon, there is a great deal of color. We had to finish a project, and we were worried the color would not match, but it did. I enjoyed it very much.
