There will never be an explanation as to why it is listed by weight. I think it would be more helpful if they listed yards and meters. A smaller cone is not what we are talking about. The one that is as large as you are. - I have already informed my adult children that I am leaving it in my will. In other words, if you need more DMC 310s that you will probably use in the future, this is the one to get. This is not recommended for people who are easily startled by the sight of enormous cones of floss due to underlying medical conditions. My own cone of doom has affectionately been named the "Cone of Doom!".

A lot of my work is done with black embroidery floss In the past few days I have been using it to hand-quilt old t-shirts Make squares out of your shirts. I started out by simply drawing the black lines from a coloring book on a 20" x 30" sheet of paper The shirt I loved was an old one. A return to the original design brought it back to life. I started taking other shirts and using those black edging lines to make quilt squares, and I ended up making a quilt out of shirts I don't really wear but are dear to me. I have been using them a lot recently, which means having to buy them, then winding them up on those little plastic squares you have to use if you don't want your floss to tangle. SO MANY problems are solved as a result of THIS. There are no noticeable differences in quality between this and DMC.

There isn't enough way to express my appreciation I just LOVE ALL THE EMBROIDERY FLOSS in this book! There is a DMC stamp on this floss, so I believe it is genuine DMC six strand embroidery floss. 321 A is the color of this clothing. In DMC's 'standard red' line, Christmas Red is by far the most popular. Recently, I decided to buy basic colors in bulk to avoid having to deal with the leftover pieces from each string that weren't long enough for my next project. The white and black 100g cones are available, but for $16 I bought the 500g red cone. The 500g red cone was cheaper than the usual price for 100g cones at the time, so it may have been on sale. The win is in the bag! Due to the fact that I had never in my life purchased embroidery floss in bulk, I was not familiar with 500g. I can't believe how many there are! The last red floss I will ever purchase in my life is never going to occur to me again. You certainly wouldn't know how big it is by looking at the picture. There is a lot of room, but not so much that storage will be an issue. In a women's athletic shoe box, two 500g cones fit neatly in one corner, giving the box little room for anything else. In general, I think this is a good value for the price. It's more than I ever need or want, but not so much that I will have a problem storing it. There are 2,270 yards of floss in this package. There are 8 regular skien in a skien. 261 skiens are equivalent to 7 yards, so that's 261 yards equivalent to.

That is to say. I am just in awe! The DMC 310 thread will never have to be bought While I knew I would be purchasing a large spool of thread, I hadn't realized quite how large it would be HAW! I can't believe that I just said that! That one surprised me. I never envisioned it being as large as it is. It looks like I'll need to work on a lot of projects with black in them to see this puppy shrink!.

Even though it says 500gm, you don't really realize how much it is until you see it in person. The stitching will last for the remainder of your life. Even if you only stitch in black. Wow! What a great idea!.
