These threads make me happy. I tried making bracelets with some cheaper thread from Walmart, but they always broke halfway through, so I wanted to find something better to work with because it had turned out to be a relaxing hobby for me. These threads are extremely strong, and I have yet to have one snap, so I'm glad I found them! My only gripe is that there is only one white and black included, so expect more of the same from these. Of course, you can always get more at a craft store, but given the variety of colors, I assumed there would be a few extra. Greens, more than any other color, come in a dizzying array of hues. Most people use these in cross stitch, so if you like green, you'll probably enjoy this as well. When working with them, they tend to fray towards the end, but you can prevent this by dipping the ends in wax before using them. They also have a nice sheen to them. They came in a plastic bag with everything in it, so if you want to torture yourself like I did, you'll have to sort them out yourself. Overall, I like them a lot, and I'm looking forward to making more.
The colors are absolutely stunning! br>However, the quality isn't great. br>When compared to dmc floss, the finish product on the fabric piece is dull. br>What you pay for is exactly what you get. Skip them and pay more for better quality if you need this for a special piece you're working on.
I thought the kids would enjoy continuing to make bracelets with this thread. Trying to use it was a complete pain. The thread is of poor quality; it easily tangles, and there is significantly less thread than I purchased elsewhere. br>br>I am not going to buy this thread again.
Colors are a lovely mix. I read in a review that there were a lot of greens and browns, which was exactly what I was looking for, and they delivered! However, I have far too many pinks and yellows to know what to do with. I don't mind having one white and one black. It also comes in some lovely modern goldenrod/peach/dusty rose hues. It is a good deal. I like it because it has a little less sheen than DMC threads.
There is a wide range of colors, but there aren't many of the same color, which isn't ideal for making large/wide bracelets that require more than seven strings of one color. Aside from that, this string is fantastic.
There is no black, as stated in previous reviews, so keep that in mind when ordering. This is a bundle I would buy again in a heartbeat.
I bought it for a group of girls who were going to camp on a bus, and they were going to make bracelets. This bundle was ideal!! There were so many different colors to choose from!.
