Selected User Reviews For Coats Crochet Classic Crochet Thread, 1 Pack, Antique White
To demonstrate the glow it should have had, I placed some real blacklight yarn next to it. Even when the light is directed directly at it, there is no glow.
Although this is a high-quality thread, I must admit that I was disappointed, despite giving it 5 stars. This is the Shades of Purple of old, but instead of the dark purple, the variegation is now shades of pale lavender with no deep purple. As a result, I was unable to match it with the older yarn and will have to find another use for it. If you're looking for vintage purple tones, this is the place to go. That matches their solid dark purple, but they don't seem to make it any longer.
Thread crochet is something I do quite a bit of. doilies, lace trims, and other embellishments - One of my favorite restaurants is Aunt Lydia's. It's one of the more affordable options (in comparison to the "luxury" brands), and it consistently produces good results for the types of dishes I enjoy making. br>br>As for the colors, they're nice - This "Cream" was chosen to go with some small crochet mandalas. The yellowish tone went perfectly with other Aunt Lydia colors (Maize, etc. ) to achieve the shading effect I was looking for. br>br>This is something I would strongly recommend - I like it because it is of good quality and at a reasonable price.
I crocheted a blouse with this black thread.
The pink color of the product is not nearly as dark as it appears in the online images. The thread I received is a pale pink; I expected it to be much darker because I needed it to contrast with another pale/light pink thread I bought. Despite the fact that it is the wrong color for its intended use, I am keeping it because it was a good price and it is of good quality. I'll be able to apply it to other projects as well. I'm writing this review to let others know that unless my thread was mislabeled during production or packaging, the color shown is unlikely to be what you'll receive.
making, with a distinct stitch definition Stitch definition is outstanding. This is what I use to demonstrate to beginners how to distinguish between the various parts of a stitch. It's perfect for lacy projects. br>br> Depending on your needs, you may want to use Aunt Lydia Crochet Yarn in one of the finer weights. When compared to sewing thread, 10 is noticeably thicker, but much thinner than sport weight yarn. br>br>It's ridiculously stretchy. My Aunt Lydia's Crochet Thread projects are 60-70 inches long when blocked. 80 larger than before they were unblocked they were blocked they were blocked they were blocked% (If you don't want to stretch the cotton, blocking it is simple. ) The yarn, on the other hand, is stretchy enough that the weight of your project can cause the fabric to stretch a little more than you intended. )br>br>If you've never worked with yarn of this weight before, here's what you need to know: It necessitates the use of relatively small hooks, and good vision is advantageous. In a good mood- Every stitch is so sharp that counting them or catching mistakes is a breeze. br>br>I like the Natural colorway because it has a slight yellow undertone that makes your lace look like it was made by grandma decades ago. The Antique White colorway, on the other hand, leans more toward white, making it appear less heirloom-like. br>br>An interesting feature of this yarn is that it can be used to make multiple scarves with just one skein!.
I had previously purchased this product elsewhere but was unable to locate it, so I purchased it here, and I must say that the color change disappointed me greatly. The colors in the product I received, as you can see from the photos I posted, are very light. The purple on the website is significantly darker than the one I received in the mail. The one I got goes from white to a light purple shade, whereas the one I thought I was getting went from a light purple to a much darker purple shade. The website's image is extremely misleading, and it should be removed or updated to reflect the correct color.
