There is a weight to the thread. A cup of water or eight ounces I'm sorry, it's not eight ounces. A spool of yarn has about 1,400 yards
My Viking machine fits on this thread spool just fine. I have no issues taking it on any other machine either. It isn't the same height as a serger spool, it is pretty much a normal thread spool height.
This is what I use when I quilt but I suppose it would work for just about
1300MT is written on the spool

Do you remember when you followed the instructions and realized that your block was smaller than expected? The fact that I couldn't sew was the most frustrating thing about quilting for me. It got to the point where I took my blocks to various instructors to troubleshoot. Aurifil 50 wt thread was the thread I discovered during that time. Until I saw how important a thread can be, I never knew the difference it Yet, it is a good idea to take it into consideration. When the thread used in sewing is almost the same size as the thread woven into the fabric, the seams bury themselves into the fabric and take up less space. Putting the sewing machine to good use every time. Now, run a length of chain store thread through your fingertips and notice the lumps. The Aurifil thread doesn't have lumps at all. It is without a doubt the best thread you can use to piece. Due to its fine nature, if stitching garments, the thread is certainly strong enough to hold seams together, but it's a bit tricky to gather. Therefore, you should not get rid of your poly/cotton threads as they are still useful for garment sewing. The only thread I use on my quilts is Aurifil! The #2310 thread is one of my favorites to use with piecing, as it blends with most light to medium colors.
According to every blog post I've read and every video I've seen about Aurifil, this is the best thread for sewing. You've given me permission to say that the thread is great, that's for sure This is the ONLY reason it got two stars - it's smooth and silky without a lot of fluff! There have been three times that the thread has locked up on the spool in the first few hundred yards, and it had a knot in it that. if I hadn't caught it, it might have snapped my needle and possibly ruined my project. I've included two pictures, the first shows the thread tightly wound around the That's why it's pushed all the way to the left and almost off the spindle. There have been three instances of this in the past two years. On the spool there is a knot on the knot there is a knot on the knot. As can be seen in the third image, the knot is completely Regardless of how many of these defects are present in a cheaper thread, I find any one of them unacceptable There is absolutely no excuse for any one spool of very expensive thread to contain all three problems mentioned. The deadline I'm on is such that I can't return it however, I can assure you that I won't be purchasing from Aurifil in the future.
The aurifil quilting thread is my only thread of choice now and has been for many Considering that you can have this delivered to your front door by Amazon prime, there's no reason to buy anything else. Even at Joann's, this thread doesn't match the quality of the cheaper brands. This high quality quilting fabric is essential for quilters, who do not want to spend hours sewing only to have it fall apart.
This light beige color will work for so many quilt This light beige has been the color of choice for many of my last few projects. I love how it fits so well with my color palette.
It is a very fine thread and its wound on a small spool that is too small to accommodate this amount. The thread has been constantly breaking on my sewing machine as a result. I do not recommend using it.
A year ago I had brought my Bernina to the dealer to see if I had a burr or something else inside the machine causing the breakage, but nothing was found to be the cause. My machine broke again after I got it home and I tried it again with the Aurifil thread. Since I switched to Connecting Threads and Gutterman threads, I have not experienced any It may have been an old spool of thread, but it was too expensive for me to buy this.
I am a quilter who loves Aurifil. Quilting and piecing my quilts are both done exclusively with Aurifil thread. The top stitch thread and the bobbin thread are the same - I have not used anything else. Aurifil thread is the only thread I have ever been pleased with. One of the best ways to care for your machine is by using Aurifil thread.
I am testing thread for quilt piecing. I haven't used 50-2 thread before. My normal 50 3-ply cotton was only 50 3 and I was curious what the difference would be between my normal 50 3 and the 50 3-ply cotton It's a plough. Various things are better, such as less dust, less bulk in seams, and less breakage. I will update at a later date once the project is completed and has been used, washed,.
When it comes to quilting, I always use Aurifil thread. The price is excellent, and the delivery was quick.
