Questions & Answers

How thick is this thread and how many plies does it have?

There are 50 grams in the package. There is a 50/2 on the spool, so I believe it may be 2 ply. I believe this is made in Italy, and it has a diameter of 1300 meters per spool, and is 100% cotton. I recommend it, at least for quilters, after hearing it recommended by internet guru Leah Day.

How thick is this thread and how many plies does it have?

I believe that this is a 50 pound, two ply product. A 50/50 split

Think about what you put into your machine in the same way you think about The best, without a doubt! The color is just perfect, it's not too white and not too beige
5/5

Have a look at the pics to see how close-looking they may seem, but they are very different in tone! Additionally, regardless of how large or small your cone is, you will always get the same color result. If you do a lot of sewing, it is not just the color, but also the fact that cheap threads will leave behind damage and ruin your machine. Even if you are a newbie in sewing, there are a few brands you need to recognize and associate with right away. This fits on most frame hoops, since I use an industrial Juki 2010Q (Q=Quilting). IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE THREADS, DON'T ATTACK THEM! Just like what we put in our bodies, we can imagine thread (and oil, if your machine demands it, as mine does) as thread! Since I have only quilted myself, I can only provide an opinion *Brief description here In addition to Aurefil (I have never used these, but I've heard good things about Madeira and Gutterman depending on what you're working on) I stick to what I know- if you have some experience in these, let me know. It runs through your machine but has the same rich Pantone color palette, whether it be better or worse than the quality of fabric. Hand down, Olfa has the sharpest and most responsive blades that cut quickly and smoothly through multiple layers of cotton and make a real difference when you listen to the slice of a new sharp blade. What a treat! Cutting the blocks perfectly is the key to making 1. 2. 3. The Olisos Using a smart iron makes it so I don't have to lift the iron anymore, and the silicone mat has at least half an inch of thick wool pads. It doesn't matter (only as long as it is sturdy, you don't want your pieces to dip and create distortions. In your blocks, you stretch the fabric. This is another reason to hand a good thread so your machine can be set at the right tension. I used Schmetz needles for the life of the needle and they kept sharp for longer than any other! As always, this is just something that I've experienced. In addition to changing my needle every eight hours of sewing, I keep a dollar store timer close by my machine, and with four children and so many sew alongs I could never keep up but I know this is true when you start hearing or seeing big holes. The other day someone said they change their needle every time they spin a bobbin, so I decided to test this since I think that would be great! *)

I invested a lot of money in a nice sewing machine, so I see it as a long term investment. Just like oil and gas and car maintenance, a sewing machine requires regular maintenance as well. My needles are hard to thread, so I like a thread that is easy to thread. Aurafil thread has never given me any problems! Here is the link to my sewing family. I hope it helps!.

The thread I like the most
5/5

This is the first time I've heard about a thread difference. Whenever I was shopping at Walmart or Joanns, I bought the 2$ kinds without hesitation. What we're talking about here. Since it is like the same price as those 2$ ones and it is much better, I highly recommend it. There's SOOOO MUCH MORE to do on the pool! In addition, it is smoother and quilts nicely, and it doesn't hang up with lint.

You guys are the best! Quilting is a great hobby if you're new to it
5/5

This Aurifil thread is the way to go. Fraying is not an issue. Break the rule or break the law. A quilter can benefit greatly from the value of this kit.

I found it very interesting
5/5

Since I am fairly new to quilting, I bought this thread based on recommendations from people who are more knowledgeable than me on the subject. I am surprised to have read about buying special quilting thread. Based on my limited quilting experience, this thread is excellent. It is very lightweight and very I just finished a baby quilt with it, so it looks fantastic.

Aurifil is a genuine product
5/5

Aurifil thread of genuine quality. A great item that I would normally purchase at a local quilt shop, but they are always out of white! I purchased it from Amazon, and it has exceeded my expectations.

I love it! Definitely worth the price
5/5

It may not be the cheapest option out there, but you pay for what you get. Using this thread on my Brother SE600, I am able to sew beautifully. I have never had an issue with breaking. The product is something I intend to buy again.

Spool that has been contaminated
3/5

There is a defect in my spool of thread because it keeps breaking and causing It wasn't a problem to switch to another spool. I will continue to use Aurifil in the future but I will not purchase it from this site in the future. My previous experience may have been a fluke, but I won't take a chance on this.

The spoiler on the new version of the story has broken threads
3/5

There's something special about this thread to me, and it seems to be the only thread that appeals to my Phaff. In the summer, I bought a couple of these and was about to use my last one when I noticed a number of broken threads on the top and coming out from I would like to replace this product.
